On January 2, 2025, I ordered lunch from Oriental Palace via DoorDash. When my food arrived, I was disappointed to find that the lo mein was completely dried out, lacking any moisture. It was just a mass of sticky noodles.
I called the restaurant to express my concerns, and the man who answered was quite rude. When I explained how I received my food, he was dismissive he then said “What do you want me to do about it?” I explained that I wanted him to properly cook my food. He told me I would need to wait to speak to his manager about the issue. I questioned why I should have to wait until 4 PM to address a problem with my meal that was clearly not prepared correctly.
He continued to be unhelpful, asking again what I wanted him to do. I reiterated that I wanted my food cooked correctly and mentioned that I would return after work at 3 PM. He abruptly hung up on me.
When I arrived at the restaurant, he seemed to recognize me immediately. Without making eye contact, he reached out to take the platter from me as I entered. He didn’t apologize for the mishap with my food and took it back to the kitchen. He was gone for about ten minutes, and when he finally returned, he handed me my food without a word or any acknowledgment of the situation.
His attitude left me feeling uneasy about what might have been done to my food while it was in the back. I hadn’t asked for a refund; I simply wanted my meal to be prepared correctly. However, due to his unprofessional behavior, I ultimately decided to discard the food rather than risk eating it. I will be disputing the...
Read moreI’m not sure what’s up with this new generation and the quality of food at 90% of restaurants in our country! I’m a trucker so I literally have lived the experience of many different places! And mind you I also grew up around outstanding cooks just to add that lol. That being said , my all time fav has always been the boneless spare ribs anytime I go for Asian / Chinese cuisine!! But the past few years , every time I order from anywhere , it’s chewy or dam near so hard that you almost have to throw it away! Same with the wings! I understand the food must be done to prevent getting sick but there’s levels to done vs tenderness! The wings from this place weee good but so hard that I had to hold every bite in my mouth just so it could soften before chewing! The boneless rib are super hard as well! I paid $33 for Singapore noodles which that was ok , boneless ribs and the wings!! When really the quality I got was just barely $15 at most!! That is totally unacceptable!! The ribs had to been old and recooked and sold to me!!...
Read moreThis restaurant lies to you. I ate here and everything about the experience was horrible. First off when I walked in there was a pair of soiled panties in the parking lot to really get you hungry and in the mood for Chinese food. (Is it so hard to keep the area clean?) Second, the service was slow and when I ordered chow mien they served me a plate of cabbage and beef strips with raw celery and insisted that was chow mien and chow mien does not have noodles. Also the table next to us was charged a service fee and the same server who had insisted chow mien had no noodles said they always charge a service fee and the have had done that for years, however, when we got our check there was no service fee. (I'm thankful they broke their long standing policy for us) And finally on our way out our server actually chased us out and stopped up and demanded that we give him more money because our tip was insufficient. This was by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to with service so bad I actually left the...
