Wawa — Restaurant in Barrington

This Wawa is the worst wawa I come to. If I do come it’s at night (the staff are cool and laidback; they get the job done with no issues). But the people in the day time…!!!! On September 19, 2025 at 1:40 p.m. the heavy set caucasion lady working at the register first card’s me which is understandable, then says the one I gave her is expired…my blood starts boiling because I’m in a rush trying to get to work (but I’m not going to complain about it that’s my issue not hers). So I give her my updated ID. While she rings it up, I call my coworker asking them how many packs of milds they wanted and they told me 2. So the cashier says “I can’t sell third party.” So my coworker showed her id and her face through FaceTime. The cashier refused to listen to what my colleague was trying to display through the phone and the cashier called I guess her manager and thankfully the manager did it for me after identifying the ID cards.

*my coworker didn’t have a car btw and they were doing a double, so before I came to work they asked me to pick something up from the store. Since I was on my way to wawa, I didn’t mind...

I normally only write good reviews but this morning before work I decided to come to this Wawa, I’m sick so I wore a mask and decided to use self checkout to be generous to the employee working at the register but I noticed that it does not accept cash I tried deleting my items from self checkout so I jumped into line where I was greeted by April.. very rude about it huffed and puffed her entire way to self checkout then came back and scolded me on how it works I actually was speechless all I did was apologize it wasn’t good enough for her because she kept scolding me the entire transaction, I was going to just to let it go but if she treated me that way over a little mistake I can’t imagine how other customers get treated little miss perfect even scanned one of my items twice and I politely corrected her instead of scolding her to do her job right. I also noticed her name badge said team...

I asked for a wheat hoagie with egg white omelette, tomato, spinach and provolone cheese only to open the wrapper and it was made with white bread. Went back in to have them remake it as I can’t consume white bread. I also requested that it be toasted a bit dark/crunchy. When the second sandwich was handed to me, I was already running late so I didn’t open it. Lo and behold, they got it wrong again. This time they replaced the egg white with a regular omelette and the sandwich was soft and soggy/ not toasted dark like I asked. I ended up tossing the sandwich and buying breakfast somewhere else. I called the store to speak to the manager. I was told she was too busy to take a phone call and that I should call back later. I will never patronize...
