An online order was placed around 4:27 AM, we arrived 8 minutes later to pick up our food. The lights that said “open 24 hours” were on, but when we pulled around the drive thru ,all we got was an automated response. We waited at the order screen for several minutes with no response to us saying “ we are here to pick up an online order”. We proceeded to pull up to the window where we sat for several minutes with no greeting. We wanted to confirm if the voice we heard at the order screen was an automated recording so we looped around the drive thru and received the same automated response, but no response from an actual employee. We then proceeded to pull up to the window again, because we had seen somebody moving around on the interior of the building. It was a few more minutes wait before they realized that we were sitting in the drive-through, and they just hand gestured that they were not open. They opened the drive-through window and informed us that they were the only person there on staff and that the other crew would be arriving in 20 to 30 minutes. They offered for us to wait until the rest of the crew arrive in order to get our food. I would like to make it incredibly clear that I do not fault this singular employee for not being able to run a restaurant by themselves. I 100% put the blame on the shoulders of management for not being able to adequately staff their establishment, making sure that the lights that say “ open 24 hours” were off as they were not open, or having the online hours reflect the fact that they were in fact, not open. A good twenty of our time was wasted waiting for food only to be told we would have to wait an additional 20-30 just for staff to arrive and start making our food. We then had to go find another fast food establishment that was actually open and could provide us with service.

Read moreThis particular Burger King is difficult to review for a few reasons. For one, the location of this BK is sketchy. So therefore, there's a lot of sketchiness about it that has very little to do with the food establishment itself. I continue to frequent this location, despite certain drawbacks, because I like BK in general. They have good tasting, filling food for very competitive prices. And when money is tight it's a good option regardless of the poor nutritional content. Being right on Broadway in the thick of the business district, makes this BK a convenient option. However, for the same reason, it also happens to be a refueling station for many of the area homeless folks. Now, I've been homeless and can ignore it if I choose or use it to my advantage if necessary. But average folks may be turned off by the occasional group which takes over an entire section of the whole seating area. They also have a tendency to be understaffed. So sometimes you will find yourself waiting for several minutes or more before being waited on, or even greeted. The food itself always appears fresh and properly served. But depending on who is working, getting packets of condiments or salt and pepper is like pulling teeth. Good or bad, I'll continue to...
