El Taco Guapo — Restaurant in Lawrence

Horrible service. Not going back. Ordered over the phone. Looking at the menu, sopes came with options of pollo, carne, carnitas, chorizo, etc. Tostadas were exact same price and came with same options, but over the phone the woman refused to put carnitas on the sopes, only the tostadas. What kind of sense does that make. Anyways, moving on. Each sopes and tostada was priced at 3.25. I ordered two tostadas and 1 sopes. So you think it would come to 9.75 plus tax. My wife gets there to pick up for me, and the woman looks at her, looks her up and down and walks away. She waited there a while and the server finally came back and charged my wife over 18 dollars for the food. Now claiming at this point that sopes only come in orders of 3, which the menu says they are 3.25 each. Screw this place.

UPDATE: OK, their food is actually pretty decent. I'll give credit where it's due. Since I originally thought the place deserved 0 stars, I'll put the 1 star towards the food. This is the only thing they have...

How do I define this place in one word? Bad. How do I define it two words? not good. The food is great as well as the chefs, but what it makes the restaurant terrible is the lack of professionalism from the waitresses -- at least the two women that work during first shift. I've ordered tacos twice, and both times the order wasn't even on their task list when I got there to pick it up. The worst thing is that the waitress throw the order at me without saying anything with a bad looking just because I also showed sights of anger after realizing my order wasn't ready. If you ever read this review, here is a basic concept about business: the clients have all the right to complain when they are given a bad service. I’ve order Pupusas, Burritos and the enchilada on the picture. But the only edible food was the Pupusas. I believe the bad test started with the server. Mean demeanor and arrogant. I know, I was not wearing my Prada or my Gucci when I walked in the restaurant, but that does not excuse her approach to us. You should treat everyone who comes in with dignity. My brother ordered the enchiladas, and tried to persuade him to get something else ( Too spicy). And the server reply “They are already making it.” But we had not even finished placing the order, and it had only been about 5 minutes since we entered the restaurant. My brother is a mechanic, he had just come out of work and was hungry. She might’ve thought we were homeless. But we behaved very cordial and friendly to her. We paid in full plus tips.
