Jefferson's — Restaurant in Lawrence

First time here. We ordered appetizers and drinks. The guacamole was overly doused with lime juice. The fried mushrooms were over cooked. My beer was ice cold though and friends cherry limeade was very tasty! Our server was fantastic! My shoes encountered chips that had dropped to the floor underneath the table (sweep after each seating?). All in all, a MEH experience.

UPDATE AND REBOOT! Came back and had their 4.00 margaritas (have Lindsey make them-best margarita ever) and 75 cent boneless wings. Best wings and Cole slaw I've had in a long time! Bella (our server 1st time) came by and said hello (makes one feel special!). Jeffersons is now our new go to place! We ♥️ this place! The employees are very special! Do give everything a second chance, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Back to Jeffersons! Yes! Lindsay was our bartender! Yay! BFF had a margarita and I had a lagunitas ipa. We shared a turkey club, fries and Cole slaw. Really love this place not only for the food but the employees make you feel like family. I hope the owners know how blessed they are.

Ok, I have no idea what's going on with Jeff's west but today was a minus 10. Gal pal and ordered the spinach artichoke dip and salsa with chips. In my experience, the spin/art dip is to be served hot 🔥 it wasn't even close. Lukewarm on the outside and cold in the middle with parmesan (not fresh) sprinkled on top. As far as taste it was ghastly. No flavor, just a cold gelatinous mass of whatever. The "salsa"? I'm betting a jar of frito lay tostito salsa can be found in the refuse. Very disappointing. Usually this place makes my taste buds do a happy dance. Today? Not so much.

Hubby and stopped by and I can honestly say the food has not improved. The staff? Lindsey, Marley and Bella were not on the floor (who are fabulous) but Natalie was! She's just as great as my favorites! I ordered the $1 wings and they arrived overcooked and hideously tough. My fries were soggy like a marsh in Florida. Hubby had a BLT which on arrival was in this instance, woefully undercooked. The bacon was definitely undercooked as I saw it as he raised the sandwich to his mouth. "Babe! Is that cooked all the way through?" He said yes, I disagreed. Ugh. I have no idea what is going on with this kitchen. The staff is...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jefferson's, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience, all thanks to our fantastic waitress, Phiefer!

From the moment we were seated, Phiefer's warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a delightful evening. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she guided us through the options with genuine enthusiasm. Phiefer's recommendations were spot-on, ensuring that each dish we ordered exceeded our expectations.

What truly stood out was Phiefer's attention to detail and commitment to ensuring we had a memorable dining experience. She was attentive without being intrusive, always there when we needed her assistance. Her friendly and professional approach added a personal touch to our meal, making us feel like valued guests.

I highly recommend Jefferson's for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience, and I especially commend Phiefer for her outstanding service. Her professionalism, friendliness, and passion for her work truly set her apart. I'll definitely be returning to Jefferson's, and I hope to have Phiefer as my waitress again.

I cannot say enough great things about the service I received at Jefferson’s, all thanks to Zoe. From the moment we walked in, Zoe made us feel like VIPs. She greeted us with an incredible smile, immediately set the tone for the night, and kept it going with the perfect mix of professionalism and personality.

Zoe was attentive without being overbearing, always somehow anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. Our drinks were never empty, our food came out perfectly, and she checked in at exactly the right times. She made fantastic recommendations, and you could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. Every interaction with her felt sincere — not just “going through the motions” service, but actual connection and effort.

What stood out most was Zoe’s energy. Even though the bar was packed, she never seemed rushed or stressed. She made us feel like we were her only table. It’s rare to find someone who’s that efficient while still being warm and personal.

Honestly, Zoe made our entire night. Jefferson’s is already a great spot, but having someone like her on the team takes it to another level. If you’re thinking about going, ask for Zoe — she’s the definition of top-tier service. I can confidently say it was some of the best service I’ve ever had anywhere, period.
