Cozy Cabin Coffee — Restaurant in Lawrenceburg

Up in Lawrenceburg early yesterday morning to help my husband's uncle move and needed something to perk me up. I was pleased to find a local drive-through coffee shack!

They have two windows so can move through a fair amount of traffic. We only had one car ahead of us on our side. They were maybe a tiny bit slower than I'd expect, but no big deal.

The menu has pretty much every beverage you could hope for in the morning -- hot coffee, iced coffee, milk, hot chocolate, smoothies, frappes, etc. Also a couple of snacks/pastries to grab and go as well.

I got a regular iced "Rocky Top" which was described as "like Rocky Road ice cream with a kick." I enjoyed it and the price was reasonable at ~$5. Maybe a little heavy on the marshmallow flavor for my personal preferences, but I downed the whole thing! The barista was pleasant enough too.

It really depends on the day, but 9 times out of 10 the coffee isn't going to be that good. Either it will be the wrong drink or the coffee itself will taste burned and bitter. Iced coffees are usually safe, but Americanos and the specialty drinks are a hit and miss. Once Genevieve and the other dark hair girl left the coffee wasn't the same.

However, when the coffee is good, it's amazing. It's some of the best coffee I've ever had. It just depends on the day, whose working, and how...

I love this little coffee spot. The staff are always excellent and courteous. This last visit surprised me! I ordered a coffee and a giant banana nut muffin. I received my coffee and my price but when I asked about my muffin she handed it out to me but I noticed the price didn't reflect both items. Knowing she had made a mistake she tried to make it right by a free offer but since she was honest about it I chose to pay for the muffin anyway and tipped her $10...
