Frida's Mexican Restaurant in Lawrenceville is a delightful spot that serves up some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in the area. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the vibrant ambiance of authentic Mexican culture. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or planning a sit-down meal with friends or family, Frida’s delivers on all fronts. The highlight of our visit was, of course, the food. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The roasted salsa was a standout—it had just the right balance of smoky and spicy flavors that made it impossible to stop dipping our chips. It’s one of those salsas you’ll think about long after your visit. The main courses were equally impressive, with each dish showcasing the depth of traditional Mexican cuisine. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, which made the experience feel even more special. One of the best parts about Frida’s is how quickly the food is served. Despite the high quality and attention to detail, the kitchen runs efficiently, ensuring you’re not left waiting long to dive into your meal. It’s perfect for those who are hungry and ready to eat but still want something that feels carefully prepared rather than rushed. Special mention must go to Diego and Louis, whose service was nothing short of exceptional. They were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find service that feels so genuine, and their efforts added a personal touch to the overall experience. They made us feel valued as customers, which is a quality I always appreciate in a restaurant. The atmosphere at Frida’s is another reason to visit. The decor is vibrant and inviting, creating a space that’s both lively and comfortable. Whether you’re there for a casual lunch or a celebratory dinner, the environment sets the tone for a great meal. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the restaurant a welcoming space for everyone. If there’s one thing I’d suggest to improve, it’s simply this: keep doing what you’re doing. Frida’s seems to have mastered the recipe for a fantastic dining experience, from the food to the service to the ambiance. It’s the kind of place that quickly becomes a favorite, and I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. In short, Frida’s Mexican Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the Lawrenceville area who loves authentic Mexican food served with a side of outstanding service. Whether it’s the amazing roasted salsa, the excellent service from Diego and Louis, or the overall vibe of the place, you’ll leave satisfied and eager to come back. This is the kind of restaurant that gets everything right, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic meal.

The food was pretty good, but the service and ambience were terrible. The waitress argued with me over "what domestic means" regardless of how the beers were listed in the menu. She didn't know the prices of anything. Took forever to take our food order. Food took forever to come. Had to ask for the check even after she'd taken our plates. Only got one refill of WATER (I decided not to order a beer since she couldn't tell me how much they cost). Some of the TVs weren't working, not that I came to watch anything. The rooms are very loud as there's no soft material to absorb any noise. It's basically pictures on cinder block walls, so you can't hear the person across from your when they are busy. No toilet paper in the ladies room, even after notifying the staff. The menu lists imports and domestics as domestic beer. It lists some Mexican beers as both domestic and import. No worries... Waitress doesn't have a clue what she's going to charge you anyway. Not all was horrible, though. The food was pretty good, not great, but not bad. There margarita my wife ordered was excellent. We won't return... I imagine this would be a good place if you just wanted to get hammered at the bar and take a cab home. For dinner, go to El Jinete or some other place.

Frida's is one of the best restaurants in GA. I was in town visiting from Chicago. My cousin that lives there was given Frida's as a recommendation for good drinks and food. Boy, were they right?!?! Gabriel was our chef, Estepania was our server, and Felix was the manager..... They were all so great, friendly, and professional. The pitcher of margaritas was ON POINT🙌🏾 We couldn't decide what we wanted at first, but Estephana helped us come up with the perfect combination for our taste buds. You've got to try the guacamole 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Gabriel had good recommendations for food, and we were over full when we left🤣 The atmosphere was a great vibe. The music was a really nice volume to the point where we didn't feel like we had to scream to hear each other across the table. It's a great vibe for girls night out or even date night. I'll definitely be back.

Wow! Where do I begin. Me and my friend took our children here to grab a bite to eat. We were seated immediately which was nice. So our original waitress messed up my friends order. It was honestly not a big deal, all we asked for was the correct order. She clearly can’t handle making simple mistakes and rolled her eyes as if we were the probably for her not taking the right order. So they decided to bring a guy to serve us. We didn’t even complain on her but fine. So the guy was great. We had to repeat some things we asked for with her so it put more work on him. So when we were finished we asked to split our checks. We noticed gratuity only on my check. So he said he would split it. He came back and added more gratuity. So now there’s the same amount of gratuity on my order and more on her order. This wasn’t adding up. How did we go from Splitting to adding more. I requested the manager nicely because he couldn’t explain why this was the cause. The manager had checked on us a few times and he was nice. However, he sat down and I informed him could he explain why the gratuity went up when it was only supposed to be split. He then says I had enough and I’ll take it off and don’t ever come back here! Excuse you! So that’s how you show professionalism. We were nothing but nice and just wanted our questions answered. So because you can’t communicate like a professional adult you decide to catch a fit and say don’t ever come back here and threatened to call the police. I was truly appalled. This will be the last time I will ever spend my dollars here and his wish is granted. If you can’t own up to your mistakes and talk to people professionally, why are you working in the...

I've been dining/taking out at Frida's for about 5-6 years. Yesterday was my first time dining in since the pandemic. I love the new look of the place but yesterday I was rubbed the wrong way about my experience.

Well myself and a friend walked In around 5pm and we wanted a booth but they were all full. The place was busy as normal. So we sat a table well about 10 minutes later a couple across from us were leaving well I asked our server if my friend and I could sit at the booth once they cleaned it. She replied yes. So after the booth was cleaned we proceed to move over. My friend went back to the car to get her ID.

So as I'm sitting down I hear some say "that was our booth" well surely this older white gentleman wasn't talking to me but I heard it again and I looked up and he said to me that was OUR booth we've been waiting in line for 10 minutes. I said excuse me we've been waiting as well and we asked for a booth and waited for one to be cleaned. He was loud and rude and I became loud and rude.

Fact of the matter the owners wife was very apologetic TO HIM, never said anything to me and he walked in my space with his rude behind. I only stayed because my friend wanted too, and I know it doesn't matter if I spend my few coins there or NOT, but I will spend them where I'm at least treated with respect.

Very distasteful from a business I’ve spent lots of money with over...
