Worst customer service and interactions of any sonic franchise around. They are constantly out of items, do not listen to your order or tell you “drive thru only” when you pull up to a bay to order. Never would I think that I’d be taking the time to post a negative review for Sonic but here we are.
Just tonight pulled in to a bay to order to be courteous to others using drive thru as I was ordering food for 4 so I didn’t back up the drive thru line, Only to be told, “drive thru only” after pushing the button. Waited for 2 cars in the drive thru and when I began ordering was told “just to let you know, all food orders will be a minimum of 15-20 minutes wait time”. I left at that point and drove 10 minutes down 518 to the location at 2094 & 518.
Seemingly the staff at 1159 West Main / 518 is looking to push business away and it doesn’t seem there is much leadership on the ground. Rarely would I leave a review for anything especially for fast food service but this location is horrendous and unfortunately is the closest to my house. I’ll be avoiding it in the future. I asked for a large cheese tot because the chilli was going to take another 10 min (understandable) but when I get a medium it's usually full and loaded with a decent amount of chilli and cheese (never ordered cheese by itself) and this is what I got for a large. I usually call the number on the receipt and a guy answers. He is the general manager (?) And he is always nice about getting me a replacement (at least he was last time) I did not call and ask for a replacement this time. I thought I would give a public review in hopes that all managers will ship up and provide some consistency. The tater tots are fresh but this doesnt feel like a large or a proper amount of cheese. I spoke with a male at the location about the problem & he was very short with me and told me that several other people had ordered through the app. and there was no problem I was hoping that he would still honor the happy hour price, and the reward coupon I had on my app since it wasn’t working. But the make continues to cut me off and wouldn’t even let me continue the conversation. So finally, we ordered our food through the speaker. Again the same male that had previously spoke with us took the order and was short rude and disrespectful. Because we were short on time, normally I would have left because of his behavior but I needed to get my daughter to school so I continued our order and got our things.
