This was our second time my husband and I went because I really did enjoy the way their boil came out and their prices SEEMED reasonable.
The second time coming in we ordered less and it still came out to be the same price we paid last time. Just know if something is not listed on the menu they just make up prices and then don’t itemize it on the receipt, FYI to this establishment this is false advertisement! 5.99$ for broccoli and 5.99 for mushrooms added and recommended to be added but not knowing it was going to cost that much is ridiculous!
Let me not mentioned the service both times was slow and it was not like it was extremely busy. I go to swamp shack all the time which is always busy and have no problem with their service, as to why I always go! Yes food is good but know if you expect to pay money but get poor service this is not the place to go. Also, do not expect management to do anything because I talked to them about the outrageous price for the sides and they did nothing to rectify the issue. I didn’t ask for a refund but I did want to know why so much (for broccoli and mushrooms)! They could have at least said we can maybe do something for your next visit but didn’t!
Yeah, thanks for the response that respectfully is you trying to justify NOTHING! I added a photo so everyone can see that clearly the management team here too clearly likes to lie! Where on my receipt is the price itemized! The 1st trip me and my husband came it was $125 the waitress recommended the broccoli and mushrooms which I added and like I previously said we got more! As in he ordered a 1/2 pound of shrimp added sausage and had an extra beer (as in 3 beers him 3 beers me)! Make it make sense! We got a lot less the second time and it was $117 clearly this establishment doesn’t care about lying about their prices or on me! I also said the service was FINE! I requested a manager not to talk about the service. I was there to talk to you about the prices and why was our ticket only $8 less then what we paid last time when we actually got more food our 1st visit! The service neither times was up to par with it not being a busy establishment! Your response just shows how you guys like to do business and have no training in customer service or how to properly run a business. As previously stated I wasn’t looking for a refund it’s the PRINCIPLE and feeling mislead and LIED to! Read moreWe came in to celebrate my late fathers birthday in honor of him. After seeing such great reviews on social media, we decided to give Crafty Crab a go! We were seated immediately upon entering the establishment.
We were sat in between 2 crowded and very loud tables while there were other tables available throughout the restaurant they could have placed us. The restaurant was not busy at all but they insisted on seating everyone who came in, in one general area and it became very cramped for our liking. I could understand if it were busy however it was not.
The waitress came to our table to take our drink/appetizer orders and took a long time delivering our drinks. We had a small top table for our group of 4, the table didn’t have enough chairs to sit us however the hostess grabbed us another chair. We ordered fried cheese and steamed scallops for our appetizers. Fried cheese was fried to perfection and the scallops were absolutely delicious! We placed our food orders and it did come out promptly. However, we ordered crab and after asking our waitress “3 times” for a set of crab crackers, our food we ordered was now cold. We did tell the waitress that our food was then cold and that the crawfish we ordered had a lot of previously dead crawfish and majority had no tails…..she removed it from our table and took it off our ticket. Afterwards, we placed an order for 3 lbs of snow crab and another order of the steamed scallops with The Boom sauce. That sauce is pure dynamite! So good!!! The crab was good, cooked well. Fresh Oysters were prepared properly and cleaned well.
If it weren’t for us having to sit often at the table with empty glasses and plates being left on our table that made it difficult with the amount of space on the table with the bucket, several crab plates, drinks and other meals. The lack of service and forgetfulness of the wait staff, it would have definitely been a more enjoyable experience. I am leaving the 3 stars in hope’s that management sees the review and makes the necessary changes for future customers to have a better experience than ourselves.
We will give it sometime and then make a visit back to see how things have changed and will update review upon the next visit. Wishing this location the very best and hope they can understand...

Your table ordered 3 house salads, 2 fries, 1 fried shrimp basket, and 1 fried catfish basket. Our server personally checked on your table brought refills and asked if everything was good . The house salads you ordered are listed on our menu at $7.99 each, and the price is clearly posted. Most of the food was eaten and enjoyed, so it was surprising to hear afterward that you were upset about the cost of the salads. While we always want our guests to feel they’ve received good value, we are unable to adjust prices that are listed directly on the menu. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working hard to serve our guests quality food and good service.

Your server checked on us and asked if everything was good, but when I told her I was not happy she just casually walked away. 2.
