La Brisa Mexican Grill — Restaurant in League City

The bartender in the outside area will charge money on your credit card without your permission or knowledge!!!!!!!!!

this is straight up theft I don't care what their policy is they need to make you aware if they're going to charge money on your credit card with your money and your your bank account!!!!!

I went there yesterday with my coworker to play cornhole and have a few drinks I had one Dr Pepper and my friend had two beers....

I woke up the next day and had a $25 charge on my credit card and a $17 charge for the drinks.

so basically $41 for a flat watered down Dr Pepper and two House beers?

I called and spoke to a manager this morning her name was "Miss Blanca" and she was completely unhelpful and didn't seem to take this matter serious....... she kept talking over me as I was trying to explain what happened she almost seemed annoyed by my phone call so I will be calling back tomorrow to speak to her manager.

I don't have a problem with them putting a $25 hold on my credit card but they need to get my permission first!!!!!!!!

you don't just take someone's credit card and do whatever you want with it that is theft!

that is not your money and you need to make the customers aware of every transaction on their credit card especially transactions they are unaware of!!!!

I had one Dr Pepper my friend had two beers and it cost me nearly $42

but getting back to what Miss Blanca just told me

she told me because it was a holiday today my money would be refunded in a day or two???????

and I'm sorry but that is completely unacceptable!!!!!!!!!

that is not their money to take in the first place how dare you take my money and then be rude to me and tell me you'll give it back in a few days this is absolutely unacceptable.

and I wonder how many people they have done this too I will never go back to this place!!!!!!!

this place has really gone downhill the food is overpriced the staff is rude and wrongfully charging customers credit cards without their permission...... I have been going to La Brisa for over 10 years probably longer but I will never step foot in that place again

and by the way I think this is the first bad review I've ever left any business I've lived in League city my whole life but I'm sorry you do not take other peoples money without...

Every time I come to this particular location I have a bad experience. First experience here was for a work dinner. I called a week ahead to reserve tables for 20 people. My party and I get there and they have no reservation on file. We had to wait over an hour to be seated finally after the manager ran around upset about having to set up our tables. My second visit here was for my sister's birthday where her birthday cards “mysteriously disappeared” off of our table and no one seemed to know what happened (she was compensated for the missing money with a La Brisa’s gift card and we were all comped for our food). During this incident I dealt with the manager on my sisters behalf and he was not understanding, empathetic, or apologetic for the situation and was honestly ready to get us out of the restaurant. My third and LAST visit here was for a friends dinner. We asked if our tables could be put together since most of us fit except for 5 of the people from our party and our waiter told us yes that it should be fine. A couple of minutes later the manager (same one I dealt with for my sisters party) comes up to me specifically and in a very condescending way asks me if I have any more “specific request”? His tone of voice was very condescending that someone else from the party noticed it and asked if there was a problem. Just had our company Christmas party yesterday at La Brisa Mexican Grill (League City) in one of their banquet rooms. They made this party stress free for us. When I arrived everything that I had discussed with the event planner was done. I did not have to do any set up for our party-they took care of everything. All tables were set to specifications with tablecloths and Christmas centerpieces (provided by them). The room was inviting and also had a Christmas tree. I cannot say enough about our servers. Dustin and Vadim did an excellent job. Dustin is a jewel in this industry. He kept me informed on all times of food coming out, checked with me throughout the event to see if there was a need and kept the all the tables flowing with beverages, chips, sauces, everything we needed. He did a great job in leadership and professionalism along with every one else that helped out on our event. Management would also come in several times to make sure all needs were met. The food was delicious (combination fajitas with all the trimmings). The whole event from coordination in the beginning, room set up, food, servers was perfect.
