Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Leander

This is a new location so I definitely want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's still pretty bad. For one, it feels nothing like a Chili's. It feels more like a cafeteria style restaurant with the atmosphere; just as many tables as they can fit in one room. Feels nothing like Chili's growing up. Second, we came with our children and they had no kids menus. That was more of just an inconvenience because we had to look it up on our phones but not really a big deal. The server came to get our drink order and she didn't really seem personable at all. More just in a hurry to get to the next table. She never ran anything out, drinks and all food was brought out by a food runner or server assistant. We showed up a little thirsty and drank our drinks rather quickly and didn't see our server for refills until after the entrees arrived. For appetizer we order the chips and salsa with queso. And I have to say Chili's must be kidding themselves for serving pace salsa with a basket of half broken chips for $7. Not to mention the queso which to me seemed more like ranch style beans with chunks of chewy mystery meat. For entrees we had the kids cheeseburgers, chicken crispers and big mouth bites. This is where Chili's has gone the most downhill for me: the chicken crispers. In the early 2000s they were amazing but man are they terrible now. They were very similar to canes chicken strips in the way that they lack any real flavor. Its more like they just lean way into the condiments which were the only things that were enjoyable. The meat on all the cheeseburgers was both over and undercooked somehow. Burned and almost crispy on the outside while being a little too pink on the inside fore me. I have purchased the exact same thing since you opened about 10 times! In the past 3 months I have been given the wrong items every single time since the young Hispanic lady has been doing the to go area! I was there last night at 6pm to pick it up and as I waited it seemed about 10 other patrons were waiting as well as it was backed up with orders! I waited another 20 min and then she found my order along with others on the other rack on the other side of all the to go orders! She told me someone just put it there and that was not true! So then I left upset already since it was cold and when I got home and opened it this is what I received….first I always order the Triple dipper with regular crispy chicken strips, eggrolls and bone IN buffalo wings with (honey mustard, avocado ranch and bleu cheese) Now what I was given was chipotle strips, Boneless regular wings and eggrolls with 3 lovely sides of ranch ! I was absolutely LIVID!!! I never ate both the strips/wings because I hate the flavors! So I had 3 eggrolls which I had to use my own side I had at home of honey mustard because I don’t like ranch ! I said my order to her 4 times and she repeated it back to me ! Why is it that I keep getting wrong order every single time with just her ? I think and can see now she does get over whelmed and probably gets things so mixed up ! I wasted my time and money every time and I would like to suggest to switch servers at certain times of rush hour etc ! I love Chilis food especially when I get what I pay for! Everytime i come to this place service seems to be slow for me. What's even more interesting is it happens when i sit at the bar. Today i cane in on a Friday night busier than normal but not super busy as it was rainy. I ordered three for me. Bartender takes time giving me a menu I didn't think anything of it. I put in an order for a cup of chilli and old timer burger. Also had a don julio marg which was small not sure how its even considered a marg. Chili came out pretty quick. I then see another couple come in and order. Still no burger. I then see another couple come on sit at the bar next to me instantly get menu's and asked for drink order. They put in for salad and a burger. I then ask bartender check on my order which he said he did. I then wait even longer the couple who came in about 20-25min after me gets their food and then i look at the manager and ask how that happens. He did go and check and reported that something happened not sure what but that would make it right by trying to comp my order and put in for the burger. I appreciated the offer but at that point i was already tired and irritated so i told him dont bother and left.
