Quick easy, friendly, and delicious. Always worth a visit.
Update: This operation thrived on convenience and pretty friendly service for an indian restaurant. Living in the center of a rapidly developing area of suburbs in a lazy world, it (rightly) thrives as it should, it's a smart setup. However, I have had my first bad experience with them since their opening, and i feel i should share it. On Google and yelp they recently updated their hours to reflect that they are open in the bridge between lunch and dinner. Today I just so happened to want indian food at an unconventional time. So I call them to put in a pickup order, and the lady on the other side said "I'ml sorry sir, we are closed after 3:00 until 4:30. I said "In that case you should know that your Google and yelp say you are open." I thought it was something they should know in case it was an accident. She says ,"what would you like to order".
Whether it was accidental or an intentional lie to get me off the phone and work out of her hand, each member of a restaurant business should know when that business opens and closes. And if your business lives and dies by its central location and easy experience compared to other Indian restaurants. You can't have a showing like that.
Now I don't now hate this restaurant, and I will be going back because it still tastes good, abd it is super convenient, but this is...
Read moreNew review, March 05, 2023: I have increased the rating from 1 star to 3 star. The quantity has increased a little bit, however, they have also increased their prices. I have given 2 stars less because I find the prices very high when compared to a restaurant that offers dine in services. Whereas, this place is located inside a gas station that can only offer take out. The quality of food is not bad. Also, they no longer charge the $1 for making your food extra spicy as I stated in my previous review below.
Old review: Food quantity is less in comparison to price. Very expensive. Please see the image below with the container sizes: on the left is lali son and on the right is sangam. Both were veg biryanis ordered from lali son @ $10.99 (enough only for 1 person), and from sangam @ $11.45 (enough for 2 people), both are base prices without taxes. Lali son is located inside a gas station. Food is not bad. But, there is better food available at other Indian restaurants for approximately similar price, more quantity, and better quality. Sangam has great food, quantity n quality and is definitely better at a reasonable cost when compared to the quantity that lali son gives.
This is the first Indian/Nepalese restaurant that I have come across that charges for extra spice (nearly $1). Just go with medium spice if you do not want to be charged extra for the extra spice. Really...
Read moreFinding Lali Son: Nepalese Restaurant has been a delightful experience as a connoisseur of diverse cuisines. The fact that it's a HALAL/حلال restaurant adds significantly to its appeal, catering to a broader audience with dietary preferences. Their commitment to using meat from Halal sources is commendable, ensuring quality and adherence to dietary restrictions.
The ambiance of Lali Son is warm and welcoming, a reflection of its owner, Surya Shah. Mr. Shah's passion for Nepalese cuisine and dedication to customer satisfaction are palpable in every interaction. He is not just an owner but the heart and soul of the restaurant, often seen engaging with customers, ensuring they have a wonderful dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food – specifically, their Chicken 65 biryani. This dish is an absolute masterpiece. The perfectly balanced spices give it a unique, spicy, and irresistible flavor. The chicken is tender and perfectly cooked, and the rice is fragrant and fluffy. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that takes you on a culinary journey to Nepal.
In conclusion, Lali Son is more than just a restaurant; it's a place where food meets culture, and every dish served is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Nepal. Whether you're a fan of Nepalese cuisine or looking to try something new, Lali Son is a must-visit. Their Chicken 65 biryani alone is...
