We started our evening at Wapato Point Restaurant and they were packed with a few groups waiting, we were hungry and thought let's try something else. We headed over to North Shore Cafe and Carmen seated us immediately and was quite friendly. Being a little on the picky side when it comes to wine we asked for 2 small tastings to share of their white wines, we were brought 2 glasses half full, the wines were terrible and therefore a complete waste, we asked for a 3rd wine to taste and the elderly man who I think has ownership (white hair) scolded Carmen and told her they were not a tasting room, she came back and apologized we could not taste. Oh well. Then we ordered our meals; I Cod Piccata and my sister Chicken Marsala, we asked for no bread or pasta and to substitute with small salads. The meals came quick, almost 2 quick. Chicken was overcooked and hard, my cod was tender BUT the sauce was very strong with a lot of capers & olives; OK I get that. But then the vegetables that came with our meal were MARINATED ARTICHOKES ! Never had such a thing as the vegetable, super salty and tangy and add that to olives and capers just NOT a good mix. Carmen was gracious and did not charge for the wine (tasters) and gave us a 10% discount. However; we did get charged for our substituted salads, so we walked out with blowing 80 bucks and had to come home and...
Read morethe service is terrible here. we gave it a second chance after getting awful service the first time and it was disappointing again. 3 waitresses couldn't handle 5 tables. we were one of the five and the other four already had their food so I'm not sure what the problem was or why we waited 10 minutes to get an order in or even just to get some water. as the waitresses were no where to be seen. however, the girl did bring me teabags without any water (still trying to figure out how I was suppose to make that work). We finally just got up and left. I am a waitress and a local in Chelan and I could have handled their job by myself. it is clear that the serving staff here is inexperienced and have no idea what they are doing. here is some tips for you: say hello when customers walk in, even if your busy dont make them wait for water in the summer time, it's hot and they have probably been walking around never wait longer than 5 minutes to ask if they are ready to order closed menus generally mean the customer is ready to order tea bags require water to make tea

Read moreSo, we went here yesterday. The place wasn't that busy, but it took a long time because they were under staffed. I don't fault the waitress. First off the Coffee was cold when I received it, not a good start. We didn't get a refill of coffee or a carafe of water, until we asked for it.
The food was terrible. I received eggs benedict which were poached hard, when i didn't ask it to be. I ordered my hashbrowns to be extra crispy, which they weren't... they came cold, whereas the eggs benedict was warm. Other than the eggs being wrong the eggs benedict were great. My wife received a dry and cold waffle. My Mom ordered the biscuits and gravy... the consistency was off. it was just not the country type gravy and looked more like a beef type gravy. She said it was inedible... it was the worst biscuits and gravy she has ever received, the consistency of the gravy was like spit.
We waited about 45 minutes for our food, like I said, not the fault of the staff if they're understaffed... but it was a very...
