Summer Salt Ice Cream Company — Restaurant in Leawood

Ice cream was delicious. Both waffle cones were so thin that they broke before getting down to it. One broke when the employee handed it, and all they did was offer a bowl. Another double on sugar cone was basically scooped falling off side of cone than it was on top, and I needed the bowl right away. Some flavors have names but no description what’s in it. No signage. Limited seating outside. No inside seating nor inside ordering so when it’s hot, probably back...

I was just disappointed the other evening, we were meeting family to enjoy some ice cream! They had already ordered, and was waiting for it, so I walked up to the window to order ours and the girl said, “sorry, we’re closed!” It was a few minutes after 9pm, really? You couldn’t have let the 3 of us order? Was just a little taken back by this! I thought it was poor customer service! Will definitely pick somewhere...

The ice cream I got was really really good, but my partner got dairy free ice cream, and both flavors tasted incredibly freezer burnt. This was really disappointing because we specifically chose Summer Salt because we saw they offered a lot of dairy free options.

We’re going to be trying other places that have dairy free before coming back here, but hopefully it was a one...
