What happened? Previously, I have talked about how this is my favorite Hardee's location, how it is so much better than my home location in Lafayette, and how I make a point to come here when I'm nearby. Tonight's experience has left me wondering if the Lafayette team has moved down here and ruined it, because IT. WAS. AWFUL. Our first clue that something was wrong was the menu board - none of the Red Burrito boards were shown. At first I thought it must be a technical problem with the boards - perhaps they got stuck somehow when switching between breakfast and lunch/dinner. When we reached the front of the line, however, we could see a handwritten note proclaiming that Red Burrito items were not available. That was disappointing, because I had been craving tacos and planned to order the five pack. The sign also noted that they were out of roast beef, which would have been my second choice, since the picture on the menu board made it look delicious. In smaller print on the sign, it also noted that milkshakes were unavailable, and that they only had small and large cups. Those were less problematic, but still, with over half of the menu items unavailable, we should have taken the hint and gone someplace else. But, instead, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, stick it out, and just order something different. There was a sign advertising new $5 combos, so we decided to give those a try. My friend ordered a classic, and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. After paying and going to get my drink, I met with another disappointment: my first choice of beverage, Strawberry Fanta, which is somewhat exciting because it's not offered at many other places, was also out. But I settled for a different beverage and went to sit down. We waited for an inordinate amount of time, considering that it was somewhat late for dinner and they weren't very busy, but again we were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. It seemed like they were training some new employees, and obviously there were some other issues going on, given the state of the menu. We speculated as to how that might have happened; probably someone seriously screwed up a supply order. At any rate, we finally received our burgers, and unfortunately they were NOT worth the wait. They looked nothing like the advertisement and were very small; they had used slider-sized burger patties rather than regular ones. Either the ad was very misleading or someone did something very wrong. Worse, my burger was missing the bacon - you know, the first word in BACON cheeseburger. I really don't like to complain, but that was beyond ridiculous, so I went to the counter, where they offered to make another burger. That was well and good. I went back and split the baconless cheeseburger with my friend, who had already finished his tiny burger and fries and was still hungry. It wasn't good, but I didn't want to be wasteful, and I fully expected to still be hungry after my tiny burger as well, so I went ahead and ate the other half. Then I finished my fries while we waited. And waited. And waited. Long after my fries were gone, and there was still no sign of a bacon cheeseburger that actually had bacon on it. By that time, both of us were getting upset stomachs - I don't know if it was from the quality of the food or just from being so disappointed and upset by how bad everything was - so we finally gave up and left. We feel like our money was wasted, and we were betrayed by a company we trusted. Honestly, I don't know if I've ever had an experience that bad anywhere, let alone a place that used to be a favorite. If this is the direction Hardee's is going as a company, I don't see any reason to go back, and I don't expect it to be in business...
Read moreWe were headed out of town after picking my GF up in Lebanon a little after noon on Fri, Sept 1. I suggested Hardee's and she said no way. I said it again and said I like the Frisco burger. She said I'd regret it, that everyone in town knows not to go there. I decided that maybe she was wrong. Well....she was NOT wrong. We went through drive-thru, I got Frisco burger meal and she got chicken finger meal. 2 cars ahead of me in line, took about 10 min to get to the window, partly because guy at window had to run food out to each car he had pulled ahead. Unbelievable. But at least I thought since we'd been in line so long our food HAS to be ready. Oh no, it wasn't. We got pulled ahead also, over to the side in the parking lot. After about 6 min, some guy came to our car and had the wrong order. He left our car and strolled back to the building. Just great. So about another 5 min later the drive-thru guy came strolling (I use that term to indicate an absolute lack of urgency) and brought us our order. Well at least after waiting this long our food would be outstanding, right? Oh, no. Wrong again. My sandwich was good, drinks were good, but her chicken fingers and both orders of fries were luke warm at best. We left late for our appointment and really irritated. I should have listened to her. We...
Read moreI have lived in Lebanon now for a year. I have stopped by here 4 times in the year. The Hardee's I use to go to in Louisville was 80% busier than this one and never got my order wrong. May if served cold fries but at least my sandwiches were always on point. Everytime I have visited this one they have never gotten my food right. My wife is allergic to pickles for instants and Everytime i order her a burger I tell them this. But everytime they put pickles on it and have actually put extra pickles before. I haven't called and said anything before but today I did. I ordered 2 kid burgers for my dogs. I asked for them to be plain. And of course they weren't. I suggested they pay more attention to what they are serving especially since there was only 2 cars in the parking lot. I am not sure who I spoke to but just because you call someone Honey doesn't make your attitude any better then you hung up on me. That's cool. I won't be back. I have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years. I understand things happen but Everytime I come in and explain things to them, they should be more considerate about...
