The Jamaican Spot — Restaurant in Leesville

My husband and I heard about this restaurant so we drove a little over an hour to try it. I was introduced to true authentic Jamaican food while living in Houston. This place was worth the drive! Mrs. V, the waitress was nice, friendly, very attentive, and great customer service. We will be going back. EVERYTHING was delicious. I don’t eat carrots but the carrots in the curry chicken were delicious. Even the plantain was good to say that I’ve tried it other places and didn’t like it. Finally had a chance to get in here and eat a great meal. Had the Curried goat with rice & beans and steamed cabbage, husband had Jerked pork with rice and steamed cabbage, and both were authentic and excellent meals. The restaurant was clean and quiet for the time, and had a wonderful atmosphere as well. Staff was very friendly and open and we were brought some fry bread to enjoy while waiting for our food to be prepared. Will not go back!!!! The first time we ate there was last year and the service and food were great!!!! We went there today and no one never greeted us or took our order and we sat there for 10 minutes with no explanation..... DO Better business owners!!! I'm sorry to each is own but I can't keep spending my money where the service is bad. My money is just as good as anyone else's money!! Yes no one is perfect and things happen but that's where communication comes in!! I'm all for supporting black/ethnic businesses but we need to do better cause the world is harder on...
