Las Palmas Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Leitchfield

This place sucks. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. It is supposed to have grilled chicken and the veggies are not cooked. What I received is something not grilled, it's shredded something with cooked onions and green peppers..hot lettuce...Ew.it is the grossest thing I have ever been served. I don't understand how you order a grilled chicken salad and end up with something totally unrecognizable. I even told the person taking my order that I did not want anything except the chicken cooked. She acted like she understood, I showed the menu with the picture of their salad. That should have been enough. I get all the way home and have this hot food under my lettuce and tomato.... I specifically went out of my way to show the salad on their menu and this cost more than 20.00 (2 grilled chicken salads)for something I am not going to eat. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ UPDATE: JULY 28 2025 Wow, I wanted to be able to update my review so I went back. I'm unsure why they have a menu, because I got another hot lettuce, tomato, with sautéed green peppers and onions. And chicken was not grilled either.....I will stick with El Nopal when I go to Louisville. Probably not going to try this...

Service was beyond SLOW. The food was decent.

It took us a little bit to decide on what we wanted. Once we placed or order it was well over an hour to get our food. After we placed our order we did not see our waiter at all in the dining room till after we were done eating.

As anyone with kids could imagine, our 2-year old daughter, who had been really good was not too happy. I had to take her outside to run around.

After over an hour of waiting we asked another waiter, who then asked the manager to check on our food and it had not been started. The other waiter ended up getting us refills for our drinks. Other people came and left while we waited.

When we first complained the manager was not at all apologetic, which was totally wrong. When we complained again, at the end, for our LONG wait, the manager only gave us 15% off. He only did that because we said we should be compensated.

The rice and beans were not as good as most authentic Mexican restaurants but the rest of the food was average for an authentic...

I'm not sure if this restaurant was prepared for the level of influx of customers that they received. I was in town for a large baseball tournament and we decided to visit due to their rating, it was very busy when we arrived and they seemed to be handling it as they should. I ordered a shrimp dish and it came out as it should but other members of the party I was in did not get the same. This is a small town and there were hundreds of people in town for this tournament, they brought wrong food to the table, didn't bring items/drinks that were ordered and other members of the party I was in were severely disappointed. It wasn't just the party that I was with but other members that were there with us were severely disappointed. It may be a good restaurant when you're not flooded with patrons but it was a huge let down based off...
