Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Leland

Wednesday 2/5/2020 - Today I stopped by my favorite hoagie place for a sandwich/hoagie. So I went to Jersey Mike's in Leland NC, I love this place and the food and the staff! Anyway, so I ordered a Meatballs hoagie. Now, I have never had a meatballs sandwich, even though I love meatballs, is one of those things I just didn't think I would like. I was wrong! I had the meatballs hoagie at Jersey Mike's in Leland, NC...it was A-Mazingly delicious. The bread, as in previous occasions was soft and fresh tasting. The meatballs were full of flavor and just the perfect size for a hoagie. The cheese was just the right amount and the marinara sauce was just out of this world. The sauce was not overly acidy nor overly sweet, it had just the right amount of seasoning that meshed well with the meatballs and the cheese. This sandwich was by far one of the best sandwiches I've had, I highly recommend it. I have posted a picture for you.

Yesterday Saturday 1/19 I was in the mood for a hoagie, so I went to my go to place for a hoagie, Jersey Mike’s in Leland. I had # 9 The Club sandwich with roast beef and bacon. It was amazingly delicious! As you can see by the picture, it had a lot of meat and the bread was perfection. I almost feel sheepish saying this. I have had the best cheesesteak of my life at this location. The big kahuna. The staff always makes me feel welcome. There was a time where I came in about five minutes till close craving one of their buffalo cheesesteaks. I asked them if their grill was closed as one of the employees was cleaning it off. I wouldn’t have minded a cold sub because they are delicious as well. I also run a retail shop so I understand that right at closing time employees get things ready to shut down. I simply was not going to hinder that. The manager however, made a comment that made me post a five star review. He said, and I quote “Man, it would be my pleasure to make you a cheesesteak!“ Wow. Wow. We’ll always go back here for a cheesesteak. He made me feel the most welcome I have felt out of place in a very long time. I think his name is Michael. I’m sorry if I got the name wrong. Thank you for being there jersey Mike’s. I will send business to you until I move...

So let me ask a silly question! When you order a #8, that lists Bacon as an ingredient... Do you need to then request and ensure it actually gets put on the sandwich? I mean, why not leave off the ham if the customer doesn't ask for it! A bit ridiculous! I had a feeling it wasn't put on, and should have asked if it had been, but figured that's why the sandwich is more money to begin with, because it has Bacon on it!

So... Haven't been back since the above (months) and once again the sandwich was wrong. Ordered a #5 Giant, and was first being made with too many meats (different sandwich) pepperoni etc was removed but I seen only two meats remaining. I questioned it, was told it was correct. But once the sandwich was opened it was wrong. Only 2 meats... Come on folks!

Won't be coming back...
