Italy Grill — Restaurant in Lenoir

Got in around 630 after dinner rush. I was visiting from out of town to visit family. We waited understanding they were finishing up with other families. One young lady very kind got us waters. But I have a special complaint about this young lady with dark short hair. She was ugly the whole time to us. Checked on other tables. Didn’t seem to want to be there. I work with the public even if you are busy you let your patrons know. What she was doing was avoiding helping our table. By the time we got our food no one was left in the building. No one came back to help us. The girl after I asked nicely for a refill on my water she said she forgot I ended having to go back to the front desk to get my own water. I’m going to take a pause on coming back with my family.

It’s hard out there for any service industry that involves the public. But patrons are what keep businesses open. Without the consumer you cannot function. And this restaurant has been open for quite a while. I’m surprised getting this service from a place I have visited before. Very...

Italy Grill needs to update their schedule if in fact normal closing time is 8:45pm. Online it says 9pm. My wife and I called at 8:18 on the way to Italy Groll to place order for dine in. We called ahead because of advertised closing time of 9pm. When we arrived at 8:30pm we were informed closing time was in 15 minutes and you could tell the person at checkout did not want to seat us. We told them our understanding was 9pm closing. To which she replied “we have tried to change closing time online several times and it never gets changed.” Which made me doubt that, because who closes at an odd time like 8:45? She did seat us and at 9:50 our pizza we ordered at 8:18pm and told it would be ready in 15 minutes, still wasn’t ready and at our table. I finally told her to just box the pizza up and we woul take it with us. SO, please change your advertises closing time if in fact it is supposed to be 8:45pm, to avoid other customers being...

Had the Chicken Parm. It was good. Not the best I have ever had but very good. Service was good until we finished the main course then our waitress disappeared and was busy flitting around other tables ignoring us. We were waiting a lifetime for a desert menu. Heard the deserts here were good but apparently our cloak of invisiblity was working all too well. Had to flag down another waitress before ours reengaged. This review was at four stars and the longer we waited the lower the star ratings went. It was ridiculous! She went to check what deserts they had and disappeared again. OMG! My head just exploded.
