Village Inn Pizza Lenoir — Restaurant in Lenoir

Update: A friend and I went back to Village Inn, and I did eat off the buffet. My suspicions were correct and the buffet pizza was delicious compared to whatever it was I had before! Changing rating from 2 to 4 stars 😀

Original review: My family went to Village Inn on a weeknight and found them quite busy. Since the pandemic we have been wary of buffets, so we passed on the all you can eat pizza in favor of just the salad bar and ordered a “Chicago style” pepperoni pizza instead.

The salad bar was well-stocked and clean - I enjoyed mine. The pizza, however, was another story. The crust appeared to be store-bought, and was barely thicker than their thin-crust pizzas on the buffet. It had maybe 7 pepperonis on it, and worst of all the cheese had a funky, somewhat sour aftertaste.

Maybe the buffet pizzas are their bread-and-butter and where they shine, but what I was served doesn’t justify ever going back again. In my opinion, any of the major pizza chains in Lenoir serves better fare than...

It's sad I cannot give this a half star. Been going there for years. Salad bar is constantly being refreshed and cleaned. But today was the last day we will go there. While eating a woman pulled out two spoons that had dried up yucky food on them. She informed almost every employee there and all they did was smile and one said "oh that was from last night"! WHAT! The whole bin should have been pulled and rewashed. Too bad there wasn't someone there from Department of Public Health. They probably would have been shut down! NEVER again will we go to this one. And we hope that no one got sick from the germs that was inside the container of...

The salads are good and fresh but no mushrooms on the salad bar The second problem is the way they have it set up now. it's always busy but the people that have already paid to eat and the people trying to pay to eat are in each others way, trying to get pizza can be frustrating if you're eating the buffet.. They should change it back to the old way they had it set up My next complaint is when you pay with a card the first thing they ask is do you want leave a tip, they haven't even done anything yet and they're asking for a tip, Tips are supposed to be based on service not mandatory...
