Not really sure how to describe this place...imagine a sushi restaurant that in no way feels like a place you would want to order sushi from! The decor, the music, the layout, just nothing about the place seems right. As far as the food goes, I had several issues. First off, the miso soup came only halfway filled. Miso is by no means expensive, so no clue what happened there. Then, the main dish was a train wreck. The rice was very hard, the yellowtail slices were paper-thin, and they changed out the shrimp for amberjack without even the courtesy of telling me. When I asked about it, they told me the menu changed daily based off what they had (what's the point of a menu then?) and that it was an "upgrade," as if that was the end of it. Well, I love shrimp and I DO NOT like amberjack so not exactly an upgrade for me! The rest of the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't a satisfying experience by any means. I really don't know why someone would go here, maybe it was just a bad night for them but I can't imagine there aren't better options for sushi here.

This is a small place so be prepared for a wait on the weekends. The menu has a good selection of sushi. The drink menu isn't the best & they didn't have any cider. My wife & step daughter ordered drinks off the menu & they ran out of the 2 different drinks they ordered. The sushi was good. There were 3 of us & we ordered 4 rolls & there were 3 pieces left. I ordered the diabla with 5 heat on a 1-5 scale. "Are you sure? It's Carolina reaper?" they asked. Yes. It was spicy but not GET ME SOME MILK NOW hot. I don't know if they have paper menus, we used the qr code. 4 rolls, no drinks, $70. Will we return? Yes.

2nd time eating here. Have thoroughly enjoyed both visits. Left stuffed to the gills. The Asian green mussels are amazing. Im blown away this quality is served in Lewiston. Staff is super nice but neither visit were they attentive to drink refills and being a restuarant manager myself, it is kind of a pet peeve. It will my no means stop me from returning frequently. My BF is a huge fan, this is our go to dinner spot going forward

Negative review for Old town Sushi

After working hard for several weekends, we finally got some time and money to celebrate! We are the family of 5 with 3 kids. We always try new things and unusual places so its sushi time. We walk in and get sited in a small room with total of 5 tables. They cook sushi right next to us at the bar. We ordered 4 different things and got water and dishes in front of us. My kids were at their best behavior but with no food to get busy with they were playing eye spy and their chopsticks. 20 min later lady brings us a plate of food and say if we won’t get quiet, she will ask us to leave. My husband reminded her that the bar where they cook is right next to us but she just won’t drop it. So, we forced to leave. The word of mom advise-it is ok when families a little loud or babies cry. And if this place is not family friendly, please put this on the map, on the website and on the door. Because if we knew that we are not wanted-we would never...

I absolutely love the sushi here, the quality and flavor are consistently great. However, the overall experience this time was really disappointing. We were seated around 5:45 PM but didn’t receive our food until 6:50 PM. There weren’t many people in the restaurant, and guests who arrived after us were greeted and served well before we even got our meals. Eventually, the hostess apologized, mentioning they had forgotten to have someone take our order, but the waitress never acknowledged the mistake and skipped over our table completely when checking in on other guests.

To make matters worse, after we finally finished eating, we waited another 10 minutes just to get the bill. As the waitress was still catering to every table and we once again had to ask for the bill the same way we had to ask to have someone take our order. As much as I enjoy the food, the service really missed the...
