Tucked away inside the Main Street Plaza, Brava's offers a cozy retreat in the heart of Lewiston. As I stepped inside, I was immediately charmed by the dim lighting and the spiral staircase adorned with delicate string lights, creating an ambiance reminiscent of a hidden jazz lounge. The soft jazz melodies playing in the background further enhanced the intimate atmosphere.
Despite arriving close to closing time, the service was impeccable. Lindsey, my waitress, was prompt and friendly, ensuring I felt welcomed. The hostess graciously provided water upon seating, and I appreciated the elegant menus that offered a curated yet diverse selection.
Having researched Brava's beforehand, I was eager to try their Pesto BLT, and I wasn't disappointed. The sandwich featured juicy, honey-smoked bacon that melted in my mouth, complemented by fresh arugula and a subtle pesto aioli. The house-made kettle chips, initially appearing overdone, were delightfully crispy and paired perfectly with the spicy chipotle aioli. A refreshing pickle spear rounded out the plate.
To accompany my meal, I ordered the Aphrodite cocktail. While its Creamsicle-like flavor wasn’t to my personal taste, it was well-crafted and served ice-cold.
The attention to detail extended beyond the dining area. Curious about the upstairs, I ventured up the spiral staircase to find clean restrooms. However, a bit of dusting on the vents and stall tops wouldn’t go amiss—a minor note from someone who values cleanliness.
Overall, my experience at Brava's was delightful. The combination of ambiance, attentive service, and flavorful dishes makes it a standout spot in this quiet little town. At $33 for a satisfying meal and drink, it’s a value worth every penny. Kudos to the chef and a heartfelt thank you to Lindsey for her...
Read moreThe Food is Wonderful. People are Lovely. If you have a physical disability make sure you use the restroom before you go because bathroom accessibility is a nightmare. The spiral staircase is an attractive feature if you're able to walk them. I Love Brava's when it's lunchtime or a holiday. I need to bring a caregiver evenings there because they go above and beyond at leaving you alone so you can enjoy in Peace. It's not easy to get the attention of the staff after they ask if you have everything you need so make sure you let them know if you'll likely be needing more Water or anything again before they leave the table when they bring your beautiful plates. The Food is Delicious. Not many vegetarian options but what they've got is Amazeballs. Salads are gorgeous when dressed on the side. Be sure to ask or you will get a bowl of dressing with salad swimming in it. Brock's has great music and I think maybe when the music is awesome the evening staff gets a little distracted. They were training someone while we were there, too, and the entire place is huge .. if they're connected I can see why the wait (whole)staff was M.I.A. that evening. I'm all for going again for lunch but not dinner because of the accessibility issue. There is another bathroom in the building but you have to leave the restaurant and neither waitress working the evening we were there told us .. they just pointed up those stairs and said "Sorry, that's our only bathroom." My companion told me about the one in the building but I wasn't able to get to it either due to my particular MS issue but most disabled folks would be able to and the food is worth it. The gal who waited on us was a real...
Read moreCurrently sitting at Brava's watching a family of people who walked in with their service dog. They do not have a vest or evidence that it is a service dog, but demand to be served anyway. I assume the very polite waitress informed them since the dog (who for the record is very well behaved) does not have a vest they cannot sit inside. One of the women in the group was extremely quick to say "you can't ask as per the law blah blah". The waitress is very patient and apologetic, but that woman is just in general very rude and inconsiderate. It is the law that a business cannot ask for credentials of a dog, but in idaho it is also the law that an animal cannot be anywhere food is served. Because that dog does not have a vest, it is out of the waitress's hands, so flipping her off as she was diligently serving you and bringing a high chair for your baby was extremely uncalled for. We understand, you need the service dog, but being rude and demanding someone serve you despite you yourself not following regulations is ridiculous, and this young waitress who put up with it deserves a raise. Service dogs already have a bad rep, and this behavior is...
