It's a shame when your product is great but the guy running the show makes you feel extremely unwelcome.
I used to be a loyal regular customer until I brought my service dog in and was rudely questioned about if he was a valid service animal. My dog was properly marked and behaving exactly as trained.
It took me two years to be willing to walk back in, and this time it was with my son. I took him out of his stroller to stretch his legs seeing as there were no other customers in the building. He was walking around the tables while I constantly kept an eye on him. He wasn't making any sound or touching anything, yet I was snapped at for "needing to keep him with me." I would understand if the place had other customers or my son was being destructive, but neither was true.
I have done your exact job before and I did it for years. Never once did I treat a customer as such or allow one of my employees to do so....

I bring my girlfriend here regularly and we have yet to try something we don't like. Their prices are suitable and, like I said, their menu is extensive. This is a great place to go if you want to just sit down and relax, do homework, or just check your Facebook. As a bonus, they sell unique decor, mugs, books, and postcards. They have the BEST white mochas I've ever tried and a huge variety of muffins! The owners are so sweet and always remember me no matter how long it's been since my last stop.
