I don't want to write this review because a part of me doesn't want this secret to get out. But after meeting the owners, there's NO WAY I won't shout from the rooftops about this place.
For those who don't like a story - It's great, get your ass there pronto!
Ok, now that the riffraff is gone I'll start by saying our first introduction to Amoré was through DoorDash. We ordered pizza... wait, let me fix that... we ordered a taste of heaven from days gone by.
My husband and I grew up in a small town in West Texas, and we were blessed by having a small pizza joint run by full-blood Italians. It was called Pizza America. Sal and his family produced some of the best pizza I've ever had, and it was a sad day when we moved away, and they eventually closed.
The pizza we ordered was divine and the flavors of the sauce and the smokiness of the cheese made all of our pizza memories come rushing back. We also ordered chocolate and strawberry cheesecake. Well sit back Martha when I tell you those cheesecakes were so silky smooth and not so sweet you end up in a diabetic coma. Then the cannolis... man those cannolis just hit the mark when it comes to a great Italian dessert. We havent' even made it to our trip inside yet!!!
We decide to go inside and see how things are and see how the pasta was. We are greeted by what I assume was the owner. He was so kind and helped us to our seat and brought us our drinks and menus. Then comes who I'm pretty sure is the owner's wife; Hanini (probably butchered her name). Well she is just a sparkle of sunshine. I ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti and the hubster ordered the ziti and a side of meatballs. The most perfect foccacia rolls fresh out of the oven arrived to begin our adventure. So light and warm. I could have eaten a dozen. Then the food arrived..... The smells....then the taste. Again, the sauce is just divine and made with love. The chicken parm was not dry at all, had a great crunch to the crust and the cheese and sauce made it perfect. Usually I can only eat half of a chicken parm breast. I ate the whole thing minus one bite. My husband said his ziti was perfection and he gave me a slice off of a meatball. The texture was smooth and the flavor was complex.
Hanini came and asked how everything was and we raved to which she cocked her head inquisitively and said, "REALLY??". She was absolutely delighted to hear we were so happy. She asked us again later and when we told her how lovely every thing was she did the same adorable head tilt and exclaimed, REALLY??!! I fell in love with her. She told me I was her favorite person and a new friendship has begun. We just moved to the area and I will tell you we will be there best customer!
Go, give them a try. I would love nothing more than to see this restaurant flooded with people showing them the love they showed us with their food and their loving hospitality! It's BYOB
I didn't get photos, but I will next time!! See...

Read moreThe food was good but the service wasn’t. Started out okay with quick assistance but quickly went downhill when we felt very rushed to order. My best friend and i wanted to catch up on life over some italian food, and thought this would be the perfect place. Entered to a completely empty restaurant and were greeted immediately, this was a great start. We let our server know we needed a moment to decide and that we would be talking and catching up as well as ordering a pizza to go. We ordered two soft drinks, two appetizers, two entrees, and a large pizza to-go. After we got our food the server would return to the table every five minutes asking if we were ready to order the pizza yet. We kept saying we would order our to-go pizza soon and made sure the restaurant wasn’t closing soon. Every time the server came asking if we were ready and we said that we needed more time he would look at his wrist like a watch and huff. The server then proceeded to talk about us to his coworkers in the back saying we “Were to busy talking to order a pizza.” He then came back to the table and when we said we would order the pizza soon we were gonna decide on toppings he then said “I’ll set a five hour timer then.” After this was said we asked to order the pizza, after we ordered it he went to his coworker AGAIN and said “They finally stopped talking enough to order a pizza” He came back asking about a dessert and we said we were okay maybe another time and proceeded to snatch the menu off our table. The entire time we were in the restaurant there was not a single other table occupied, in fact only four other customers came in to pick up to-go orders. If the restaurant had been packed and the server needed the table for other customers i would absolutely understand, however this was not the case. Unfortunately i will not be visiting this restaurant again based on the service we...
