This is a small coffee shop that is actually inside of a bike repair place of the same name and company. I don’t own a bicycle but I hear they do fast and awesome work. Something I meant to take a photo of and complete forgot to do was the light fixture in the main dining area - It was made with industrial bulbs and bike chains! One of my favorite lights I've ever seen.

The atmosphere at The Broomwagon was lovely. Very cozy and with the sunset starting on the north side of town, it was lit beautifully. No space for a lot of people and when we were there, it was only us and one other couple with a laptop watching last week Game of Thrones episode together in a corner.

The outside patio was huge and had lots of seating as well as a sort of outdoor flower garden. My favorite part - possibly of the entire trip, was the giant mural painted on the brick wall of the next door building. A dozen origami birds soared above us was we sipped our milkshakes outside.

And the milkshakes were fabulous, but took a long time to make in comparison with other places. Although their food menu Is very limited (about a dozen items total) most of them are ‘hipster’ and involve either kale, quinoa, or both. We came for milkshakes so this didn’t bother us, but we may not be eating dinner there...

We were camping at the Ky Horse Park and were getting ready to ride the Legacy Trail. Unfortunately, we had an issue with one of our Rad Rover 6 + e-bikes. Rad gave me a list of repair shops in the Lexington area and we found Broomwagon. I gave them a call and spoke with Steve. He said he was able to look at our bike so we load the bike and headed over. We arrived and he immediately started tearing into the bike after asking about all of the issues we were having. He explained everything he discovered as we watched over his shoulder. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with our questions. He worked quickly and was able to fix our bike and had us out the door in a very reasonable amount of time! We live about two ours away but decided right then and there to schedule a follow up visit for our other Rad bike. He was professional, knowledgeable, interesting to talk with and their pricing was very reasonable. If you live nearby or even if you don’t this is an amazing bike repair/consignment shop and should be your go to...

Went in this shop as I heard they were basically the only shop that catered to bmx needs in Lexington. The staff are welcoming, helpful and you can tell they love what they do. They talked me through sizing, details, and even placed a custom order for me. Shipping was fast and the shop was fast with assembly. Picked the bike up and went straight to the park. Everything they do is flawless, reasonably priced, and quicker than elsewhere in town. If you’re in the area and you ride any type of bicycle I would suggest you stop in during their shop hours and treat yourself to the friendliest group of people within their industry in town. After such a positive experience with them the first go round, I dropped my thouroughly abused mountain bike off to them which they were happy to work on and I can’t wait to get it back and hit the trails. If you have looked them up because you’re looking for a coffee shop, they have that as well and while I cannot attest to the cafe side personally, I hear only...

Super knowledgeable and excellent hospitality! Highly recommend! Very fairly priced! I'm new to the bicycle world... I had found a 77 Schwinn Le Tour II at a garage sale and wanted to bring it back to life for a commuter. I checked out all the shops around town but this place felt like home. After dropping off my bike i went back a handful of times just to ask questions and look around. Everyone is genuine and unique. As I watched interactions with other customers I was very impressed with their knowledge, willingness to share it, and how the business operates! I never felt like they were pressuring me or trying to upsell me. I really believe these fine folks are doing what they love and happy to get people riding, all people.
