Wing KYng — Restaurant in Lexington

Really surprised with this place, meaning I had no idea it was here, I have passed by this area soo many times, with how traffic is around this area (tons of people can't drive) always seemed to miss this business. My wife had told me about this place due to the fact she had seen a Video on tiktok (yuck tiktok) we both love wings, so of course had to check it out.

Wife had the garlic Parmasaen and lemon pepper wet rub. she absoloutly loved them, the sauce was awesome, the wings were crispy and such flavor, The Taters with with the sauce ( forgot what sauce it was TBH, I believe it was a garlic style sauce.) was very good as well, very well cooked thru, sometimes at some other places the taters are not cooked all the way through, and is less desirable, but these taters were very well done, cooked all through, and just the right pop when you first bite down.

the Wings that I tried were the Spicy BBQ and that sauce was soo good, as with the spice that hits you, and does not overpower the taste of the chicken at all, very well done.

when we arrived the place had been open for an hour or so, and have several people ahead of us, I figured we would have a wait ahead of us, (patience is not my strong suit) but the 2 guys on the job at the time was amazingly quick, and had that line down quick, you could tell that they were focused on their tasks, and still had the presence of mind to attend to the customers, not just my wife and myself, but were engaging with the other patrons as well, this is a good sign of a great employee that can do this, so many places the wife and I have been too in the past year, you can see the level of "care" that is out there, (or lack thereof) but as I stated these 2 guys were rockstars.

I commend them and their team for this, Thanks again for a great experience, My wife and I will be returning when we need awesome...

What can be said about this place that hasn't been said yet? The wings are huge compared to other places and that matters, the quality of the chicken is better overall, another big thing. One of the biggest has to be the flavor, boy will this place knock your taste buds back a step, flavor on multiple levels. Not your run of the mill corporate sauce, this is nice, you can tell someone made this by with some pride. The best surprise from my first order was the side of potatoes, best cheesy potatoes in town, hands down. Easily competes with the wings some days in my opinion. The only thing I'd wish is if they had their own little BnM spot so you could sit and enjoy them on premise, maybe watching some mind numbing sports and this isnt a knock, the fact they are takeout only makes them unique and if you live close by, it makes them even better, one of the good places to get food around Southland. This guy knows what he’s doing. Picture combining Sunny Anderson’s recipes, Guy Fieri’s ‘pop’ on presenting food, and tie it altogether with Alton Brown’s attitude. You got Wingkyng. Tons of sauces and dry rubs but none of the usual HI I JUST MADE A BATCH OF WINGS AT APPLEBEE’S. The owners combination of flavorings for his sauces and rubs are not only unique but oh dear GOD ARE THEY GOOD! He's got everything from the mildest to those of us who measure the amount of chest hair we have by how hot the juice is.

Here's the best part... the wings are ginormous! Both flats and drums. I'm a big guy and the SMALLEST wing was bigger than both my thumbs put together. So you've got these Fog Horn Leg Horn sized wings with sauces that make you want to slap yo’ moms.

NOTE: find Critchfield Meats in Southland, look next door to find the liquor store, drive behind the liqiour store, and look for the double doors that reads SOUTHLAND BAGEL....
