Riah was our Doula for our little one. She was so easy to talk to, open to all the questions, informed us on things most first time parents arenât told about, and beyond helpful with getting us prepared. We had decided we only wanted to have the two of us (my s/o and myself) in the delivery room, but knew we would need someone else who had been through it all before. She made sure Jacob felt empowered to help me, instead of stepping in and just doing it. And when I needed her to step in to help, it happened with what seemed like just a look from me, and she knew. She literally helped bring my focus to where it needed to be on so many occasions and both my partner and I are forever thankful for her helping us bring our baby here safely. Having the photos and video were so special to us, especially because I wanted ones that were of good quality and really captured what all we went through. We still go back and look through them about once a month. The prenatal visits were great, especially with her coming to us, in our home, where we felt the most comfortable. She treated us with some sweet treats that we both LOVED, but I think they were actually for helping bringing in my milk đ. She always made sure to get back to me through text or phone call, if she didnât answer right away, letting me know when she could go into more detail answering questions. She has SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE AND RESEARCH ON ALL THINGS BIRTH, baby, and mama care. If she didnât know she will just tell you, and look into it herself. Once I started having contractions I FaceTimed her multiple times and she walked me through everything yet again, because she knew my brain was going 15 different directions. Post natal visit was especially great. Just being able to talk all things mom felt so good to someone who had seen me and really gotten to know me pre-baby. The food she brought us for her last visit was something I crave often now. It believe it was some sort of curry and then a salad with chicken that had dill seasoning and was so refreshing. With homemade dressing. I recommend Riah, and her business, to every person I know that is pregnant and need some guidance, or really even just a great meal. We are forever thankful for such helpful hands in our story, and canât wait to see all more of the amazing things she is going to...
Read moreIf you have someone to show love to, send them a NOURISHED FOLKS meal. Seriously, do it. The quality of the food and service is exceptional. Riahâs business and product are the definition of LOVE. I have sent a meal to my midwife clinic (to thank them again for the amazing role they played in the birth of my third baby boy). I have sent a meal to a dear friend who just had a baby and was due for some nourishing (and she RAVED about the food, especially the homemade bread and granola and well, everything). And I plan to send a meal to my best friend for her upcoming birthday. Sending Nourished Folks meals are my new favorite way to treat people. So, if youâre like me, and your love language is giving, then I encourage you to give a Nourished Folks meal (or meals). Riah and her business are the definition of...
