Typically a 3 star rating from me means that it met my expectations. It didn't disappoint or exceed. I had the general tso chicken with white rice. And the firework sushi roll. The pros: the food had a great flavor. Better than the other Chinese in town. I left more than full so the portion sizes were good and my main dish came out in a timely manner about 15 minute wait time on that. My water glass was full constantly so they were on top of that. Prices were typical of a Chinese/sushi place. The cons: the waitress didn't have much of a personality. My sushi came out at the end of my meal. I ordered it under the assumption that it would be more of an appetizer. They only offered white or brown rice with my meal no choice for fried rice.

Overall it was a good experience. I'd go back again I recomend it if you're looking for tastey...

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Lexington VA. We’ve ordered take out from Golden Garden in the past and it was very good. Yesterday, we decided to dine in to celebrate our anniversary. It was mid-afternoon and we were seated very quickly. We ordered a pot of tea and water which came quickly and were given time to look at the menu. The entrees were reasonably priced (Sweet and sour shrimp was $13). We got the vegetable dumplings as an appetizer and ordered 3 entrees. Everything was delicious, hot and freshly made. I really enjoyed the green tea. The spicy green beans were especially good. The waitress checked in with us twice to pour more tea and to see if we needed anything. I thought this place was very good! I am super pleased to have it in Lexington. They were clean, quick and very friendly. It's still relatively new but it seems that people are discovering it. I have eaten here 4 times now and every time the ingredients are wonderful! Fresh, plump, generous vegetables and the sauces aren't too thick and gelatinous. Although everything is very fresh, I don't give it 5 stars because everything I've ordered so far is kind of plain. The food, while good, seems somewhat uninspired. I'll take it though, it's nice to have a place that is NOT a buffet where you can get good Chinese as well as Japanese and Thai dishes. Very reasonably priced, too....
