10/10 such a gem, bummed to not be a local and get to enjoy this spot anytime!
Stopped in to take double espressos to-go to make a protein coffee on our own. The espresso was so good and made our homemade protein drink taste fantastic.
So we decided later that morning to go back to try a cappuccino.
Best. Cappuccino. Ever.
I mean- what a delight. The barista who prepared it was kind enough to explain the sizes and how to receive one in a cup vs a to-go cup. I watched her make it with skill & care. And the taste was exceptional. If all cappuccinos tasted like that it would become my go-to coffee drink. The foam was dense and smooth, such a balanced drink.
The sugar provided was a good selection, the disposable silverware was good quality, the shop was clean & a beautiful aesthetic. Vibe was on-point on a Saturday morning.
Would love to come back for more drinks, to try pastries, gelato, etc which all looked great. They also list affogato and a moscato affogato (what?! OMG) on their menu— would have loved to try those, too!
I am jealous of you, the person reading this, about to go get you a treat...
Read moreOverall, Pronto serves up an underwhelming experience. I popped into the caffe during a trip through Lexington and expected to find a good cup of Italian coffee, according to their reviews and advertising. Yet, that was far from what I received. The Illy coffee they use is a good Italian roast used in shops all across Italy, but when you're given the cappuccino improperly made and served up in a paper cup like a Starbucks, you can't help but feel cheated. The barista was also very unfriendly and took ages to make the drinks. After all that, I hoped that the sandwhich I ordered would change my view, but it was ended up being small and with more bread than meat and cheese. I definitely would not visit again, especially for coffee, since Lexington Coffee Roasters is only a short drive away and offers a much...
Read moreI visited late on a Saturday afternoon on an impulse after seeing the sign for this gelateria and glad I did. Two friendly student-age attendants greeted me upon entering and explained what I was viewing through the glass and how their products were house-made. The atmosphere was understandably quiet with a couple of other customers in this relatively small shop. The interior looked very clean and inviting, so I decided to get a scoop of lemon and lime gelatos for a citrusy nod to summer. The flavors were as predictably bright as the texture was smooth and for between $5-$10, I felt like I was able to satisfy my indulgence just enough before leaving. With the number and variety of flavors, I could definitely sample a great many of the other offerings and maybe even one of the drinks to...
