If you have the time to go to the Woodland location it's worth it. I love great bagel but it's expensive so I don't get it often. This morning I went and had mobile ordered, I was handed 2 orders that weren't mine by mistake and they had to remake the order for the guy infront of me because "someone else must have taken yours." When I got my 2 bagels that cost 25$ they were wrong. I went to the lady at the register and said, "I know you're busy but would you mind to fix these," and told her what was wrong. Without even looking at the bagels she proceeded to argue with me about how I was wrong so I just decided to walk away and said, "Nevermind I'm good were just gonna go." When what I presume was her manager noticed she started being like, "Are you sure we can remake it? Are you sure?" To my fiance. We said we were good and as we were leaving she was talking shit about me so loudly we could hear it from across the room. The food is good but it's really just not worth having interactions like this. Edit: I changed the reveiw from 2 to 3 stars. The owner did reach out and refunded my purchase and apologized...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAll I can say is DoubleUTF. A 5% health and wellness fee is added to your already egregiously over priced meal. So now we have to pay for the food and pay the employees š š It says this fee is so the employer can provide the employees a health and wellness stipend, paid time off, and other elevated benefits. Simply unreal. Also, this is not told to you beforehand. However, if you are keen enough to read the small memo at the bottom of the menu board it does mention the fee. I know I'm always looking for hidden clues when i go out to eat. FYI, this business is open 5 days a week for 6 hours a day. How much wellness or time off could one need? Here is a thought...take the fee and hire someone to teach the employees how to acknowledge customers when they come in and not look miserable...maybe even crack a smile. I'd say you could just add the fee into your price, but then nobody could afford to eat there, haha! To top it all off, the tip amount option goes to 20 plus percent. Just so blown away by this in general! What is this world...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a big fan of Great Bagel. But you need to have the right expectations when you go. If you go at 11:00am on a Saturday, there is a good chance they won't have the most popular bagel you want (that is expected).
You need to find the right niche for your order. If you're going late in the morning consider getting one of the breakfast sandwiches on a more savory bagel. There "American" on a Everything Bagel is MONEY, and they never usually run out of those bagels.
If you're wanting something sweet with a sweet cream cheese (their cream cheese is excellent), then consider that you will probably need to go in earlier for that since it's very popular.
One thing that is really good that you might not know is their cold brew. I was shook when I tasted how good that stuff is, I mean it's next level cold brew if you ask me.
Give it a try! I don't go every week, but when I do I'm always glad I went! And this location is way more convenient than the Chevy Chase one...
