Jimmy’s Smoke House — Restaurant in Lexington

We did the drive up. We ordered a half pound of BBQ and hush puppies. Should have been maybe $11. They came back and said it would be 20 mins for hush puppies. We told her we didn’t want to wait maybe just give a little extra BBQ since we already paid instead of the hush puppies. We then waited over 20 mins and my husband had to go and check on our food. We watched 2 other people park end just go in and get their food and leave. My husband went in and the waiter said they had some ticket issues and it was rung in wrong, even though she repeated back what we ordered. I just looked and we were charged $28. So not only did we wait for almost 30 mins for BBQ that was already cooked just needed to be put in a container. We were over charged and they won’t correct this. I called back in and the waiter said I told your husband that it was rung in wrong but we just gave you the full pound. He thought she meant, I rang it in wrong but we fixed it and just went ahead and gave you a full pound since we just waited 30 mins for something that should have taken 5 since we told her we did not want to wait the 20 mins. We had a screaming 2 year old in the back seat and a hungry 6 year old. All that for the BBQ to be very average. Very disappointed that was our first experience and will never go back. Give people what they ordered not what you messed up...

Absolutely ridiculous the prices at this place! We order 2 hot dogs, 1 cheese burger and 2 drinks, 30 damn dollars! We waited over 40 minutes outside for curb side, when they came out with our food I noticed she wasn’t carrying any drinks and she asked me what we had instead of just checking the receipt, took her 10 more minutes to get our drinks, it got to the point where my husband got out the car to go get our drinks bc by this time we were already waiting for about 40 mins. I got one hotdog all the way, it had ZERO flavor, it tasted like nothing, the chili had no flavor, the slaw had no flavor, I couldn’t taste the ketchup or mustard the only thing I could taste was the saltiness of the dog it self, it had a nice snap to it I enjoyed the dog but everything else was just plain and flavorless, and the size of the hotdog itself was super small! my husband got a cheese burger and he said it was good and it did look good. He also got a hot dog and said it wasn’t good. Overall just bad, it blows my mind that TWO HOTDOGS AND 1 CHEESEBURGER and TWO DRINKS equals 30$ for food that cost 5$ to make. First I try to phone order for pickup, voice message says, mailbox has not been set up and not accepting calls. I drive up for curb service, I have my mask on to protect myself and the lady hopping curb. She see’s this and will not wait on me. Sends another lady out to take order. 10 minutes later comes out said she made a mistake and had 22 burgers on the ticket, and wants my credit card. I get 2 cheeseburgers and one hotdog. The total is $22.93 I leave $2.00 tip making it $24.93. My next mistake finally get order didn’t check bag, all I have is 2 cheeseburgers and no hotdog. I can’t even call and let them know my order was incomplete. The lady that waited on me seemed more concerned about a guy in a pickup than she did about taking and fulfillment of orders. On closer inspection the ticket on the bag has only 2 cheeseburgers, but my receipt has two cheeseburgers and a hotdog. Now I ask you why would anyone go there to eat. The last place they’re went out of business, and with these practices, this one want be here long either. I will never go back and discourage all my friends to beware,...
