Mike & Patty's Lexington — Restaurant in Lexington

All I can say is wow! I tried the Mission Burrito this morning. My biggest mistake was not taking a picture to show just how large this beast was. I really enjoyed how freshly each ingredient was (it really came through in the guacamole). They also nailed getting the hash brown nice and crispy. (I have a weird sensory thing where I tend to dislike certain types of foods if everything is soft/mushy - the has browns gave the perfect crunch). For personal preference I would have loved the bacon just a touch crispier (but again - not a big deal as the flavor shined through).

My biggest hold up (maybe) in ordering it again is that with meat it was $17 with tax. (14 with no meat). Again - this is likely a me problem. If the same item was 13-14 (with meat) I would be walking around talking about how much of a bargain it was based on quality (first and foremost) and size. So at 17 it’s likely fairly priced (especially if you are splitting it with someone).

Also - I know from previous visits their breakfast sandwiches are fire, and their homemade English muffins are second to none.

Worst coffee shop experience ever! Went in for a late morning breakfast today with my husband. Ordered two large coffee and one sandwich. Sit down by a table and patiently waited for over ten minutes, but nothing happened. No call for food/coffee, and no coffee cups provided either. We looked around and saw their coffee kettle was outside the kitchen on the counter and coffee cups were next to it. Thinking it’s self-service coffee, I went to the counter, got 2 large cups, and was about to get coffee myself. Then the woman named ANNA came over accusing me that I only ordered the medium coffee. She handed me a medium sized cup and demanded the large cups back with a look that I’m trying to steal their coffee. I told her twice that I ordered the large size, but she didn’t believe me. She went to look at the receipt then realized she was wrong. Also they messed up my order with only one coffee on the receipt. Anna was even not the person who took my order at the register. How could she jump out treating the customer like a thief without asking first? No apology after all the drama. The whole experience was deeply humiliating and completely unprofessional. Bad service and rude staff. We will never come...

You chit chat, you get a classic breakfast sando, a hashbrown and some cold brew: all delightful prepared from quality ingredients, all deeply satisfying (and perfectly seasoned!), all enjoyed from a romantic counter-top seat overlooking the parking lot, decorated with an orchid and two money trees.
