Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Liberty Lake

Safeway Management was terribly unkind; I was appalled.

I went in to get a latte today at 5 PM. Only one boy was working. It was clear that he was new, but he was genuinely trying his best. He was very polite and he told me this was one of his first days being alone at the stand.

Then a few more people came and ordered complicated drinks. He was getting overwhelmed with the volume. Instead of trying to do everything alone, he called over a Safeway manager to help. Said he didn’t want people to have to wait so long for their coffees.

She walked over and not so kindly told him that he was on his own. Said to « deal with it. » I thought this was very rude and uncalled for. She made my shopping experience negative. The boy at the Starbucks counter made it positive.

Was it so hard to lend a hand or at the very least engage with customer who were waiting for their coffee? As a manager she should have known better. Even if she didn’t help she should have been kind and supportive.

Starbucks is a good place to stop if youu need espresso and food on the go. Quick service, lots of options. I would recommend asking for half the amount of flavor in a custom drink, though - they tend to oversweeten their drinks. They're consistently...
