K Wings Cafe — Restaurant in Lilburn

I was pleasantly surprised by this place today. First time here as I happened to be in the area for work. I would have to assume that the man and woman that I encountered today are the owners. They are incredibly friendly and helpful folks who reminded of what a good place was like before Covid. There were no snarky teenagers here - just a really delightful lady behind the counter who - gasp actually smiled at me...and was helpful. I was just stunned. I'm assuming it was this ladies husband who brought out my food and he was also very pleasant and helpful. It's almost like the wanted me to have a good experience and come back or something!

The food - the food was cooked perfectly! I had a wings / cheesesteak combo and was pleasantly surprised. The wings were tasty and the cheesesteak was much better than I had at Gino's in Philly. No kidding. The fries were cooked PERFECTLY. Just the right texture and crispiness...and there were plenty of them. This place isn't fancy, but it's got good food.

While I was there - several different customers came in and the lady behind the counter called most of them by name and treated them like family. She's really got the right attitude for success.

Having said all this - I doubt I'll be back here again as it was only by chance that I happened to be way over here on this side of town and it's a LONG way from where I live. However, if I lived on their side of town, I'd definitely make this place a regular stop...

Husband placed order, I go to pick it up. I wait for around 10 min and get my bag. As I’m putting it in my car the lady comes running out after me because my order is wrong. Ok cool thanks. Me being the trusting person that I just “assumed” it would be right this time considering the lady caught it the first time. Get home and unpack food, what do you know the order is WRONG. I call to let them know the error and the woman proceeds to argue with me like I don’t know the difference between wings and chicken tenders. (Eye roll) Ummmmmm(insert profanity) so I hang up and take my pissed hungry self back up there and I show this woman these here chicken wings that were supposed to be tenders. She looks at this box of wings confused like she don’t see what’s wrong with it...... so even though I called, forwarnded I was coming back I still in turn had to wait an additional 15 min on top of the 15 min it took me to drive there for some dang chicken tenders. Food was mildly ok, customer...

Well prepared food, clean looking too so when you get home its not sloppy. The cheesecake tastes homemade. The lady that served me was kind and gave me quick service. The inside was VERY clean. I'll be back.

EDIT: I'm sure the food will be good around this time too but the lady should be the only one handling orders. I got there and was missing and almost left an item, and this older guy says he didn't charge me for it. I asked for a receipt but all it had was the total. I have social anxiety, so as a customer I didn't appreciate the feeling given when being asked to pay for something twice most likely. Everyone sitting within ear shot of everything, that would make anyone uncomfortable. Also he was acting as if he didn't want to give me the item after I PAID for it, and handed it it to me and a sloppy bag. Treat ALL...
