Came in around September 10 2015 and was trying to exchange or get a new battery for my jump start box. Only had it for 3 maybe 4 months. Cashier called Arthur up front to help. He was very rude and disrespectful. Saying I could of had it for 2 yrs and nothing he could do and walked away as I was still speaking to him. Thats not the worst part. As I was looking at shovels I over heard him speaking loud in employee area with the cashier. Not only was he beyond rude to me he was disrespectful to the cashier. They were of course talking about me and I overheard the whole conversation. It's very unprofessional to ever speak about customers in front of other customers let alone me. I put back everything I was going to purchase and went to front counter, asked for the store managers name, hours and number and at that time I was given Arthurs name. The 2 female cashiers I spoke to were very polite. I called following Monday and left a message for Micheal the store manager and never received a phone call back. My father has always shopped here back home and we have always recieved great service. So when I moved here I shopped here. But with the horrible service I received I will never return. And I will let everybody know how I was...
Read moreThis comment applies to the Lilburn Harbor Freight only and is related to a bad experience with checkout clerk. For context, I spent well over $200 at the Stone Mountain Harbor freight in Dec. and have spent considerably more on other visits. The Stone Mountain location is great. I just happened to be near the Lilburn location and stopped in for a moving dolly that was on sale for $10, The checkout clerk said he did not have a copy of the coupon and did not want to wait 30 seconds while I pulled it up on my phone. He had a big stack of coupon sheets stapled together. I'm sure it was in there. But, he says, it's not on sale. So, I did not purchase and stepped aside to pull up the coupon. Does he let me purchase when I've got the coupon on my screen? No, he wants me to go back to the end of a long line. This is typical of this locations customer service. One might wait patiently until a clerk blows off another customer who is looking for something to be told "if we have it, it's back there". No isle number, not landmarks, not helpful. Stone Mountain is under 10 minutes away from the Lilburn store. Save yourself some trouble...
Read moreI walked in 10 minutes to closing time, and I was greeted with the we are about to close make your selections fast , i already knew i had little time left . I made my selection, and the guy in the register was all about it was Sunday and he had to leave right away, I told him he will hate my job as I take the extra time to help my customers, an extra minute won't hurt . He said I was lucky i had his fellow coworker bring the welder to the register as he would have closed it and would not make the sale . I left the items on the register and told him not to worry, I didn't want to ruin his Sunday . I won't recommend going to this Harbor Freight if you want to be treated like your business is not welcome . I really needed that welder as I was in a bind , i would not be coming back to this location ever. Also I took the paper on the shelf first to another associate and he told me it was not in stock , when i went back to the aisle the only guy that was nice carried the welder that I requested as he noted it was available and on the shelf , there I wasted another...
