Fat Jack's Pizza Spencerville Rd — Restaurant in Lima

If you want to go to a restaurant to be ignored, THIS IS THE PLACE TO COME! 1st time in restaurant - won't be another. Sign greets, guests "Please be seated". We, (party of 2) sat down, waited for menus or at least a "be with you in a minute". NOTHING About 3 minutes later, a large group (10-15) come in, wait staff hurry to help move tables, give a stack of menus.. while we're still waiting,, and waiting,, and waiting. 3 minutes go by, I walk up to a wait staff member asking if our table had someone assigned because we were still waiting on menus, a greeting, something. 2 minutes later, that staff member came up to the table and "slid" 1 menu (for 2 persons) across the table and quickly retreated without a word. We looked over the menu for our selection, 4 minutes later, still no one has come to greet us, tell us "thank you for your patience". We continue to look at the menu for our drink selection, searching and searching the menu for their offerings, only to not find it anywhere. Now totally frustrated with such "non-service". We got up and voiced our thanks for ignoring us so wonderfully.

Working in Lima, co-workers at several businesses I've been at, prefer Fat Jacks. Now and ever more I will do everything possible to persuade them not to choose Fat Jacks for any future meals. Fat jacks pizza has never been a pizza I've enjoyed, it's too greasy and has no flavor. It's totally OVERRATED! IF I HAVE AN OPTION/CHOICE, FAT JACKS WILL NOT EVER GET MY VOTE! IF I could give it negative stars it would get a -5 stars. Thank goodness for Godfathers pizza, excellent pizz...

2 carryout disasters. A few weeks ago we ordered a regular pepperoni. We received what appeared to be an unsold frozen pizza that had been cooked. Sort of. It was still cold and uncooked in the center. Worse than a frozen pizza from the grocery. I did call and politely explain to mgmt, as that's unacceptable. The manager on duty was kind amd apologetic. We finally decided to give them a other try, and decided to add green peppers and onions to half, to be sure we received a made-to-order pizza. Big miss, again. It was still undercooked with sparce toppings and cheese. I could handle this until I bit into a hair far too long to have come from anyone in our home. Our cheesy garlic bread was also barely cooked. The cheese hasn't even melted fully. They used to be so good. I don't know what happened, but we're done with this...

Knew I should have just ordered from the location on West St, but this one is closer to home. Ordered a 12” pizza with two toppings. Not sure why it is so tough for them to be consistent. One time it’s great, most times though - like this one - the crust is about 3 times as thick as usual, the cheese doesn’t go to the edge, too much sauce & burnt black at edges. Disappointed for sure.

Updated 10/2025: been standing here for 10 minutes or so. The person that rang me up left. The kid that came in has been back cussing up a storm since he got here and not manning the counter. Good thing no one has robbed this place yet because no one‘s manning the counter at all. Another guy came in and he’s been standing here the whole time as well. No one even...
