Beach Hut Deli — Restaurant in Lincoln

I had high hopes for beach hut deli when I was recommended by a friend. I go in to order and they’re line is out the door. No big deal I can wait I know how places like this works and I was not upset about waiting a little longer because they’re so busy. My problem came in multiple different ways. I have a severe dog allergy and they let dogs sit INSIDE the restaurants lobby , the dog was not a service dog mind you. I start wheezing and I can’t even breathe so I had my husband ask for a box because I couldn’t finish my food with a dog in store. I sat as far away as possible but the fur lingers in the air and it was a terrible experience. I shouldn’t have to sit outside the people with dogs should!! It seems they must encourage this behavior because an employee brought a dog bowl with water to the dog. The ground was SOAKING, the dog dropped water everywhere and tracked it all around. There was old women walking by and I was so worried some one would fall. That just looks so bad on this business. Anyways I got my box for my food and took it home before I left I needed to use the restroom, and I’m not kidding when I say there was literally a pair of women’s underwear sitting on the ground by the toilet. Im not sure who took over after the previous owners but they sure as hell don’t seem to care about a customers comfort or safety. I went into beach hut on Friday the 20th and I was pleased with the food, but I was completely turned off because there was an employee who wouldn’t stop cussing. I thought beach hut would be a great family friendly place to take my daughters cheer team for lunch after practices. But this employee was extremely vulgar, talking about someone to another employee. She explained that this person was a “C” word and how she wanted to “sew her effing mouth shut.” She used nearly every profanity under the sun. My daughter heard everything. When I received my order I asked another employee for her name and asked for a manager & to my absolute surprise found out this crass employee was a manager!! Is this who they leave the responsibility to?! Sarah the ‘manager’ acted mindlessly and insensitively while there were children around. If this is how the owners let their store be run then I want no part of it. Management represents the company & you can say I was very displeased to say the least. The sheer shamelessness and depraved environment is not acceptable for children and to be frank it’s not acceptable for adults either unless you wanna hear someone potty mouthing while they make your sandwich. I’m glad I went alone before I brought my daughters cheer team here for lunch or I’d have some very upset parents & have to explain why their children know such colorful language. If you have children avoid this place like the plague....

I ate in the restaurant about a month ago. Got the Sunrise. There was little to no meat on the sandwich. One slice of bacon. Three tomato butts. Asked for side of tomatoes. More tomato butts. At this point just ate the sandwich and drank my beer that was $38. Talked to Cody allegedly the manager. Whom said no problem I got you a Sunrise on the books. Stopped in today. To get that sandwich from Cody. Whom was not working today. Which is fine. But they would not honor what we were told by Cody. The cashier called Cody while I was there. Then I was told Cody won’t be in for 3 days there is nothing we can do.

Needless to say… unfortunately we will never return to this establishment.
