Maggie is still the manager. We are fairly regular on our orders from Chopsticks- family of 6, its a bit pricey. They almost always catch special requests like 'more' or 'less' spicy, or 'extra mushrooms in the Hot and Sour soup'. Our most recent order they called 3 times during order prep to let us know a menu item wasn't available so I could substitute. It was a large order and not quite done yet, and so would be a little later than I had selected, that was the 2nd call. No problem. Then, they inadvertently forgot sweet and sour sauce- they called to apologize and then someone from the store that wasn't a DoorDasher drove to my house and delivered the S and S sauce, then texted me to let me know it was there.
The portions are huyooooogggeee. Im not kidding, you'll have leftovers for 2 days. I don't know how they do it at that cost. We always end up with almost 2x's as much food as many other places in Lincoln for the cost. The hot and sour soup is awesome, the egg rolls and spring rolls (fried) are good, and their menu selection has enough stuff on it that you can always find something you either haven't had before if you want. They also have "anytime combos" which are smaller portions that include the rice and 1 side (some rangoon, an eggroll, etc). 2 of my kids can still split one between them. The regular entree's cost more but are larger and give you leftovers. If they had steamed spring rolls (ala Vietnamese type with the vegetables and a shrimp) I would just order those more often!
I love this place, and, if it cost a little less (not a negative) I would order more often than once a...
Read moreChopsticks is hands-down the best Chinese food in Lincoln, and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve tried just about every Chinese restaurant in town, and nothing beats the flavor, consistency, and quality of the food here. Their menu has a ton of great options, but the real standout for me is the peanut butter chicken—it’s unbelievably good. The sauce is rich, slightly sweet, and packed with flavor, and the breading is always fried to the right amount of crisp. It’s one of those dishes you think about long after the meal is over.
Their lo mein is also the best I’ve found in Lincoln—never too greasy, with the perfect texture and delicious flavor.
On top of the great food, Chopsticks is incredibly accommodating for those with dietary restrictions. My wife is gluten-free, and they offer gluten-free options for many main dishes, their fried rice, and even gluten-free soy sauce, which is a rare and appreciated touch.
One thing to note: the dine-in area is pretty small, and because they’re so popular, there’s often a wait time to get food. If you plan to eat there, it’s a good idea to call ahead or order in advance, especially during peak hours. That said, it’s 100% worth the wait.
If you’re looking for top-tier Chinese food with amazing service and options for everyone, Chopsticks...
Read moreThis was the worst customer service experience I've ever had happened to me and my friends. We got one of the angel hair noodle dishes and nothing was said or shown that there was pork in it, the picture only showed vegetables and shrimp. When we get our dish theres pork in there and shrimp. and we asked the owner if we can switch it out with something else because we do not eat pork! She said she would take it to the back and see what she can do. Never apologized, just attitude. So then we see the same dish come out but no pork. We specifically asked if that was a brand new dish and she insisted that it was. We peaked through it again and found pork pieces again. So they basically picked out the pork and just brought back the same dish in less that 3 minutes. When we were walking out I told the owner that we knew they gave us the same dish but just took out the pork, because uncooked shrimp doesnt get done in less that 3 minutes. So long story short very disappointed with the customer service! Will not be going here ever again. Do not...
