Worst experience ever! We arrived thru the drive thru at 7:28pm on May 30th the lady working the drive thru helped us get our order, we ordered 11 pollo asada mini tacos and 6 carne asada tacos. Once we recieved our order I thought it looked very light so after we left I decided to pull over and make sure our order was complete, we realized our order was completely wrong so we turned back and told the lady. She quickly tried to defend her self saying that’s what we ordered, finally after a little interaction a new guy took place he said he will fix our order but we will have to pay the difference, I told him why should we if we had to drive back to get the order fixed, he agreed and gave us our order then after I had my wife check and we were still missing our cooked onions so we told the lady in the intercoms and again defended herself saying we said no onions ( I said no raw onions only cooked onions). At this point she shut the glass door on us and started helping the people behind us! I honked the horn and nobody opened ( the whole time I can hear them talking bad about us in Spanish I know because I’m bilingual) then finally somebody opened the glass window, threw the raw onions at me and closed the doors. my wife in the passenger seat had to go inside because no one was opening the glass window. After my wife was inside the same lady opened the door and told me I have to move, I told her I wouldn’t until my wife was being helped out, she threatened to call the cops and I told her I would to, her response was (do it and see what happens).. Switching to my wife, I was waiting in the parking lot with our kids she went inside and tried to get our order right. the same lady kept trying to argue with my wife about the order (very unprofessional) she was saying I already gave him the order… I have worked in the restaurant business and I would NEVER treat my customers like this. Sad thing is we enjoy their food, but after a few times of getting our order wrong I will not recommend this...
Read moreThis location used to be the best in town but this year it's just slipped to far for it to get any praise from me. I hope one of the family buys this store's owner out and puts things right again because it really has gotten bad.
They have been going absolutely insane with portion control. They should have just raised prices and left the portions alone because the other locations still seem fine. They actually did that company wide in the shadiest way possible with adding service charges and meat surcharges even though meat has gone way down in price.
Now if you want to have some guacamole on your guacamole with chips or meat in your tamales you have to drive the extra miles to one of the other stores. Trust me it's worth the drive. It's gotten so bad at this location I've actually gone to the Amigo's across the street instead for their soggy nachos and congealed spicy salsa to avoid another nearly meatless tamale here and that's not the worst of it.
They have been changing some recipes too. The trigger for me writing this is I'm pretty certain they don't grill the al pastor pork anymore. Spit grilling is what makes it al pastor not adobada right!?! It's now so poorly cooked by what ever method they're using it's left fatty with a rubbery texture. There is no pineapple in it anymore and it's being held in a strangely flavored gravy that gives it an unpleasant appearance reminiscent of some pet food brands. They need to...
Read moreabsolute traaaaaaash. out of all the D'leon's in town, this one is thee WORST. off the bat, I ask for a reciept, because I like to see it since I've been SHORTED and OVERCHARGED in the past. the man clearly just didn't want to go back and print it, and tells me "no, not tonight," and closes the window. okay, strike one. next, instead of informing customers they were out of rice, I open my boxes of a smothered burrito and a steak ranchero combo to see limp, undercooked fries in one, and a miniscule amount of tater tots in the other. not informing customers of such a big thing, and then just casually replacing the side with such an embarrassing substitute is just absolutely trash standards in a business. strike two. then, finally, moving past that, the actual food itself. strike-friggin-three. the room temp smothered burrito was wide open and hardly cooked at all, the "special sauce" was absolutely disgusting and just basic tomato sauce (48th has a waaaay better sauce that you can tell they actually put effort and flavor into), they forgot my tortilla, missing items I PAID FOR, hence the request for the receipt. overpriced trash Mexican food... honestly, I know it's slim pickin's for late night food, but I STRONGLY encourage you to pass, or at least go to another location during the day, always get a receipt, and make sure you check your food...
