I was struggling to find AUTHENTIC Mexican food in Lincoln. And let me tell you, this is The Real Deal. From the excellent service to the food. I live in Seattle and I'm spoiled when it comes to having great places to eat everywhere. So I have high expectations when it comes to food. Also I'm from Mexico, so I won't be eating Mexican food from taco bell and such places.
Today I had tacos in my mind. And when I saw the pictures from Super Tacos, I knew. I wasn't disappointed.
The owner greets every customer with great energy. Makes sure everyone is taken care of.
The restaurant is clean and simple and has a family vibe.
I wish I could have tried all of the different tacos but my stomach can only stretch so much.
Anyway, I got a carnitas, lengua, pastor, chorizo (made in house) and carne asada. The first 2 were my favorite. The carne asada maybe a little dry, but still tasteful.
The salsas were yummy and spicy and the containers were clean too. I hate touching sticky salsa containers.
And OH My, the pineapple agua fresca was delicious. Perfect ratio of water, fruit and ice.
I'll definitely go back next time I'm in...
Read moreWhile it's not mi momma's kitchen the flavors were spot on! When a Mexican thinks of great food the words Sabor and Rico come to mind, not Super Taco, but don't be fooled, this is first rate Mexican food! Super Taco used a simple mainstream moniker, and focused on the Sabor. Before we even get to all this, the eyes are treated to such meticulous plating of even the most simple taquitos, our mouths were salivating before the wonderful smells reminiscent of our momma's kitchen hit our noses. Making three taquitos on a long platter look more distinguished than a plate from the Cordon Bleu! Staff was equally courteous and attentive to our needs! VIVA...

The only reason I don't give them five is because I have noticed that their limes aren't "juicy". Seems like they are cut days before and may sit out sometime and some have no juice come out from them. The other reason is that their prices have risen quite a bit. I understand that times have changed but $3 dollars a taco was a bit of a shock. Other than that, we still like to go out and support...
