Japan Express — Restaurant in Lincolnton

Worst restaurant I have ever been to. The service at the beginning was okay and the man that served us seemed to already think we were going to be an issue. My friend and I took out kids there and all the food was sooooo salty and they tried to tell me that I didn’t know how hibachi chicken tastes. The onion soup wasn’t good, the sushi was not good, the steak was chewy, and the broccoli was not cooked! In the kids noodles there was a puddle of sodium sauce. It was gross and our kids eat everything but this was gross. When attempting to resolve the issue the waitress called me a Karen which if you know me I’m not and the manager was confrontational. When I was talking to the cashier trying to tell them the issues we were having she just smiled and come on if anyone is already upset you know that a smile isn’t the best way to handle that. The worst part was the handling and the women server that was so confrontational that she should not work in a restaurant. I’ve managed restaurants, served, and trained. Hell I have a bachelors degree in career and technical education and I know this restaurant is due for a revamp. It is purely the worst I’ve ever been to. So not go here ever. The whole place...

The food came very fast but I could tell it was not freshly cooked. It's like someone cooked some plates ahead of time or someone ordered the same thing and then didn't pick it up and they served it to us. It was still edible and the service was very good so I didn't say anything. Speaking of, the waitresses were very attentive and made sure we were very well taken care of. They kept a smile on their face and were really down to earth. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms; except I did not like the fact the only way to dry our hands was with a hand blow dryer that was in need of a bleach bath or even replaced. I re washed my hands when I started looking at the hand dryer. The under side of it where the air comes out was the dirtiest part. I say these things, not out of harshness or anything to hurt the business but because they are facts and the restaurant needs to know about it. I visited this place 2 times just to make sure the 1st bad visit wasn't just someone having a bad day. Both times the order was exactly the same and both times I was cheated out of what I ordered. I order my steak teriyaki with EXTRA vegetables and pay like 2-3$ extra for this. As a diabetic I can't eat the rice so I order extra veggies to compensate for the rice I don't eat. I swear it's like I actually got less veggies when I ordered extra. As you can see in the picture I received 4 small piece of broccoli and the carrots were still the same amount in the cup as a normal order. Like I said, I placed this order 2 times on 2 different days this week just to make sure it wasn't just a mistake. Two times in 1 week not giving the extra paid for is deliberate. This place charges you more money for "extra" and actually gives you less. 20$ plus on each order. They will never get another...
