After two visits in two weeks, I took friends who were looking forward to trying Azul, and boy, did they disappoint. My first visit was almost flawless. The food was amazing the speed of service was great, the atmosphere was as good as it could be with the amount of space. Then last night happened, and our server Wallace came into our lives. One thing I can say collectively is that both of my experiences with the staff have been lacking, meaning they don't have a lot of customer service skills, and the lack of communication is evident. In my first experience, I noticed the gentleman from the Facebook page was in house that evening and last night. I'm assuming that with a lack of supervision and lack of push, certain employees may need that "push" or presence to succeed. Wallace needs to be put in the back of the house. As I can honestly say, I've never tipped a service employee less than 10% a day in my adult life, and last night, I couldn't leave more than 5%, and that was generous. He totally lost half of our second parties order, brought my and my finance's order out, and an incorrect portion of our friends order. Then, when my buddies wife questioned him about the validity of my buddies plate, he assured them it was correct. Well, it wasn't, and she made him look at the menu to show him he was incorrect. All while she hadn't received her order and he hadn't received all of his. Mind you, our part had come and we were eating in front of our friends. Then, after the menu discussion, a small bowl of shrimp, to correct my buddies' order, came out, BUT HIS WIFES ORDER WAS STILL NOT OUT! We are 45 minutes into dinner at this point. After an hour, her plate came after everyone else was done eating. His side of corn never arrived. I was embarrassed that I was excited to spend time with my friends and take them here. I recommend this place, and the entire experience was horrible. Just two weeks ago they blew me away!.. whats worse the server never offered a supervisor or Manger to the table to apologize, because honestly I don't think he understood how bad of a job or how horrible of an experience he had caused us. Even after the complaints were made.. he was oblivious. In short this place had so much potential, and if they don't correct their front of house staffs lack of ability to interact and understand simple tasks like food orders, well they'll fail like so many before in this very same location. Do better.. I hope ownership sees this and understands you were 5 stars literally 2 weeks ago, and because you weren't on site, your entire business with the help of one individual lost 2 potential customers and all their friends and family that have lived in this area their entire lives. That's who I recommend this...
Read moreA group of 16 of us visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening after church, arriving at 8 pm. The ambiance was inviting, with a clean and well-decorated setting. Despite the late hour and the fact that they close at 9 pm, the staff was incredibly accommodating, swiftly seating and serving us.
The service was commendable—fast, friendly, and attentive. The staff went the extra mile, explaining dishes and patiently addressing our questions. We started with fresh chips and mild salsa, a pleasant introduction to the meal.
I opted for the Burrito Mamalon, a delightful creation featuring a large flour tortilla filled with succulent steak, queso fundido, guacamole, and black beans. Topped with cheese sauce, creamy chipotle, crunchy nachos, and corn, it was a flavorful combination. The steak was tender, guacamole fresh, and the abundance of cheese added to the overall satisfaction.
The consensus among our group was that everyone enjoyed their meals. However, the men's bathroom fell short of expectations—fair but not quite meeting the cleanliness standards one would hope for. Overall, a positive dining experience with a few minor points...
Read moreWe came in for our first time and ate the food was great. customer service was great at first then after we got our food and we were half way through. Our waitress “Oriana” was basically rushing us, asking if we were done/needed boxes while we were still eating which is no big deal, kinda Normal since I’m a waitress myself. But she kept putting her hands on our plates to try and take them away while food was still on them and we were still eating. We kept telling her no we’re not finished and we don’t need boxes but she still kept trying to pick our plates up and wouldn’t let go. Basically playing Tug-O-war with our meal while trying to eat. Then when we were actually done eating she wouldn’t come back around took forever to get the check. Sadly we didn’t experience all this until after the manager came around and asked how everything was and of course we told him everything was great. We will try again but hopefully this message can get relayed to her and she...
