Twisted Sugar — Restaurant in Lincolnton

I visited the store in the morning on June 28, 2025. I was really looking forward to ordering three cookies—especially the Cookies & Cream one, which I absolutely love. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The cookies were served completely frozen, which has never happened to me before.

This isn’t my second visit—I’ve actually been to this location several times because I genuinely enjoyed the cookies. But the last two experiences have been really poor, especially in terms of service.

During my most recent visit, I went alone and made an effort to speak only in English. At first, I thought things were off to a good start. But as soon as the employee went into the kitchen, I could clearly hear her and another staff member—who had refused to assist me—laughing loudly and murmuring. It felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional.

I’m also writing this review in Spanish, my first language, because it’s the language I was speaking with my boyfriend during a previous visit. Sadly, I can’t help but feel that speaking Spanish may have influenced the service I received.

Twisted Sugar in Lincolnton is the kind of place that instantly brightens your day. The vibe is fun, cheerful, and full of sweet energy from the moment you walk in. The staff is always friendly and upbeat, greeting you like an old friend and taking the time to make sure you get exactly what you’re craving. It’s the perfect spot to treat yourself or hang out with friends for a quick pick-me-up. The cookies are absolutely incredible—soft, rich, and baked to perfection. Each one has its own unique twist, and you can tell they’re made with high-quality ingredients and a lot of care. From classic flavors to creative seasonal options, every cookie feels like a special treat. And the drinks? Just as amazing. They’ve got endless combinations of sodas, flavor shots, and creams that let you customize your drink exactly how you like it. Everything tastes fresh, fun, and totally addictive. What really makes Twisted Sugar stand out, though, is how happy the place feels. It’s clean, cozy, and full of personality—a little burst of joy right in the middle of Lincolnton. I’ve heard mixed reviews so I stopped in to see for myself. I like that a menu is posted outside so first time visitors can get an idea of what kind of cookies are offered. The lobby is small but inviting with a couple of tables both inside and outside. The staff are friendly and ready to answer questions about cookies and prices. For those in a hurry, there is a drive through.

The display case is filled with most of what is on the menu so you get a good idea of what you are ordering.

Now for the best part. These are not just ordinary cookies. They are better than I have tried before and made to order. The cookies are already made but still fresh. The icing is kept in a cooler and isn’t added until you order.

For the most part they are sugar cookies with different flavors of icing that give them their great flavor. They are soft and very rich. I had to stop at one cookie.

Overall, I’m glad I stopped in. The cookies are great and worth the $3 per cookie. I will stop in again.
