just ordered from El Dorado for a party and am EXTREMELY displeased. We ordered combo packs that claimed to be enough for 3-5 people but received portion sizes that would feed two people at most. The people on the phone were incredibly unhelpful and weren’t very apologetic. She didn’t care much for solving the issue either. I am appalled by the fact that she thinks a small cup of beef stew with FIVE pieces of beef would feed five people. She claimed this would be satisfactory depending on how much people ate: NO! IM SORRY BUT IM NOT A MOUSE!! We even sent pictures of the food, or lack thereof, and she claimed that the website says it serves 2-4 people. I can read and that is not what is says. If I had known this, we would have ordered so much more food. The incorrect information on the website is perhaps more disappointing than the customer service, given that that would have been the only way we could’ve known the portion sizes. We are simply irate. I am not, repeat AM NOT, going to be ordering from them again, despite the positive quality of the food. Thank goodness for Cosimo’s Italian food (who were really helpful and flexible in terms of customer service). Without there food as well, all 8 of us would be splitting about 16oz of beef stew and a canister of rice. My Christmas spirit has been sucked out of me like a shot vac....
Read moreSo today I ordered the cheese enchiladas and 2 beef empanadas for lunch. First, the positive. The empanadas were decent. And luckily I added them to my order as a afterthought because the so-called enchiladas left a lot to be desired. And just so you can see there is no exaggeration, I literally was given two flour tortillas folded in half with melted cheese and a side salad. My complaint is not with the salad. It's for what they are passing off as an enchilada, when in fact it's probably closer to a quesadilla. No sauce, nothing. I had to google images of actual enchiladas to make sure my perception of what they really are wasn't skewed. Suffice to say it wasn't. I was charged $9.95 for this meal, which should have been maybe $6.95 at best. Unfortunately, I had a friend pickup my order with theirs so I did not have the advantage of seeing it up front before it was bagged up and brought to me. Not a great first...
Read moreI grew up in an area where there are a variety of restaurants. I expect a certain taste and experience, whether that is fair or not. I understand most Spanish BUT can't speak a lick which has led to some interesting times in my life..lol. But back to the food. I normally order the pork chops special or steak with onions. For my sides plantains black or red beans with rice. Though I prefer the black. They also make delicious juices on the spot. There is always a good portion of food served. Porkchop special comes with 4 chops. Believe it or not they have a sit down area in the back. I can't speak to prices. To me good food costs what it costs AND this IS good. But it seems more than reasonable to me. They also have food already cooked and waiting if you do not want to wait. Friendly people and move quickly with a friendly atmosphere. Spanish speaking but there are English speakers there and definitely at the...
