I tried calling just now but the lady told me she only speak a little English and I don’t speak Spanish. So I’m leaving a review bc it’s ridiculous to get crappy food and not even be able to call in and ask questions. My coworkers and I ordered food today from Meson. I was very excited because I LOVE their empanadas and food overall. I got beef and chicken - 5 in total which is $15. They had no seasoning. They were dry like you need to drink something to get them down and absolutely no sauce to go with them. I called to see if the recipe has changed but I wasn’t able to communicate. Now four of them are in the garbage. Absolutely disgraceful empanadas. Just cooked ground beef. No flavor. Dry. Just cooked chicken. No flavor. Dry. The maduros - not great. I ordered masitas de puerco which were also dry even w some lime juice. $33 total I owed and hated every bit of it. Also the website to order is not as functional as it should be but better than it used to be!? lol. Not happy today. I literally threw my money away. And right after the holidays no less. If I get a better meal next time I’ll change the review.
I would be absolutely embarrassed to send these empanadas I received to customers and let the quality represent my business.
One thing about Meson - in all the years they’ve been open, there’s never consistency and at this point, the business should be a well-oiled machine. Read moreI ordered food last night at 7:00 PM through GRUBHUB, I was notified that my food will be delivered between 8:00-8:15PM, which is fine, i was a customer who ordered here almost daily and they usually take an hour so I did not mind but.... 2 WHOLE hours passed by and I still did not receive my food. So I called to cancel the order and get a refund, I was put on hold twice for a total of 5 minutes, then a young woman finally picks up and tells me with a very nasty attitude that I need to go through GRUBHUB. I have no problem with going and taking up the issue and my refund with GRUBHUB but there was no reason for her to talk to me with such hostility when after waiting 2 hours for my food that still had yet to show up I was very nice and calm. I let them know I want to cancel they cancelled it and hung up on me without any other words, I called GRUBHUB for my refund, i received my refund but then there driver calls me 10 minutes later finally asking for directions to FINALLY DELIVER MY FOOD. I politely told him that I cancelled the order with the restaurant and grubhub and that his co-workers should have told him, he hung up on me as well. Their staff is rude! However, this time she forgot Half our order and never came back to see if we needed anything else, which we most certainly did. We needed the rest of our Food, which we never got and something more to drink. I wonder if her lack of service was due to her boyfriend being there. We'll, we had to ask another waitress for help and we never got the rest of our Food. Finally, when we asked for the check, I waited so long for her to come and get money that I had to walk over to the counter itself. There was a lady worker there eating food and she had to call someone over to help me, so I would be able to leave. Once again, this place has really good food but service sucks.
