CUSTOMERS MAKE THE WORLD GO AROUND! I will never EVER beg someone to be personable, compassionate & welcoming when attempting to give them money and patronize their establishment. Unfortunately, I went against my first mind and decided to buy some fresh fish from this Market (only after i'd ordered their fried fish before and it was unseasoned and less than tasty). The fresh fish was fine, but at the end I noticed their Blue Crabs after i'd already paid for my Fresh Fish. I decided to come back after work since it wasn't far and decently priced. I ordered 1/2 dozen blue crabs.... this is my FIRST time ordering blue crabs and I couldn't get my partner on the phone. The Red shirt wearing cashier, who seemed to be the manager, asked me if I wanted them steamed and seasoned; unsure, I said no. When my partner called back less than 1 minute later and told me to get them steamed and seasoned I told the cashier and I quote "I'm sorry sir, I actually DO want them steamed and seasoned. I'm sorry" He shook his head took a deep sigh and told the man to steam and season them. I said "If it's going to be a lot of trouble please don't worry about it." He says "It doesn't matter to me"...... I repeated that I did not want them to go through trouble and it was my bad he then says âIt doesnât matter to me, youâre just making him do double work and itâs annoyingâ Excuse me? Listen, it costs you nothing to be patient and kind to people. I don't have to spend money where I don't feel valued as a person. While I understand it is frustrating to deal with people who change their orders and have requests I also understand that it was NOT that serious. There were no other customers in the store and they seemed to be having nothing to do listening to the blaring music. I declined my order and decided not to eat there. I DO NOT BEG PEOPLE TO TAKE MY MONEY AND TREAT ME WITH RESPECT. But if that's something you don't mind, eat here, of course at...
Read moreI hate leaving negative reviews but when I have an unsettling experience I am left with no choice. I have traveled to Lindy's several times over the years to purchase blue crabs, shrimps, crab legs, fried food, etc. but apparently that was not good enough. I called to see if there were any Jumbo crabs in stock and was told no. I then asked when there would be more and was told there was almost no chance of me getting jumbo crabs because those were saved for people that he knew, his "regular customers." I had to repeat what he said to be sure that's what was said to me because I was floored by the comment. For any business, if that is how you operate, keep that practice to yourself because that is also how you lose customers. I might not have been a daily/weekly customer but I have referred others to purchase here. So fellow consumers, keep in mind that when you are asking for products they "do not have" more than likely it is being saved for their regular customers and your dollars do not matter to this establishment. When businesses are around for awhile, a sense of entitlement appears, and customer service goes out of the window. I will NEVER return and will encourage others to purchase where all customers are treated the same, first come first served regardless of who is spending...
