Delights of my Region 2 — Restaurant in Linden

Went here a few weeks back, the food was delicious (minus the arepa con queso, wouldn't recommend at all). However the service needs work. It was our first time here and the girls in the front just stared and didn't say a word. There was no greeting until we asked and when we were sat by one of them they disappeared back to the front to joke around with each other. There was only one other table there at the time and they were very attentive to them but not to us. We sat and waited for them to come back to take our order but they never did. It wasn't until 20-25 min later when more people came that they decided to come back to our table. Great atmosphere, clean, and nice music. The servers were prompt, friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional.

I ordered the Canasticas con Guacamole (guacamole in fried plantain cups). What an amazing combo! Think of tostones meets Mexican style guacamole (avocado, onion, and tomato).

The flavor of this appetizer was amazing! The plantain cups were cooked to perfection, and the guacamole was fresh, vibrant, and flavorful. Even though this is an appetizer, they do not skimp on the food. You get four cups filled with a generous amount of guacamole in each cup.

I could eat this appetizer every single day for the rest of my life and not get tired of it.

We decided to try the food at this place. The place had 6 families (tables) and only one waitress (she was friendly). We tried the chuzo as a starter (good presentation but COLD! meat, onion, pepper, potatoes). My wife decided to try the complete fish soup and I had a personal picada!
