The owner asked me to follow up, but the process has been very unprofessional. I contacted the salesperson, Solly, to provide order details, and then received a vague one-line message from Joey saying, "Please call me in regards to business," without even including a phone number. I sent him three follow-up emails and never received a response. I even informed Solly about the issue, and he claimed they would contact me, but no one ever did. Extremely poor communication and lack of accountability.
Your sales manager Solly is fully aware of this situation. Our concern is with how sensitive information is being handled, as your team asked us to share bank statements by email or phone. Even more concerning, they first requested our bank statement and then directed us to wire funds through a third party. We simply wanted to proceed through a secure route. For clarity, please note that we do not have any issues with cash flow.
I wish to revise my review with some concerns I discovered. This is my 2nd revision, they ask to wire money through 3rd party. HUGE RED ALERT. They also asked me to send them my bank statement, which I did and then they ask to wire money through 3rd party.
While 888lots is good, it feels more like a retail store than the wholesale liquidator they advertise themselves to be. They place a $25,000 limit on credit card payments and strongly prefer wire transfers. To me, this raises a red flagâcredit cards and PayPal provide protections for both buyers and sellers, whereas wire transfers offer no coverage. This lack of protection is concerning for anyone trying to build a safe and sustainable business relationship.
It might be that they are too small to trust genuine sellers. However, we already processed a large order with them, and they are still not willing to raise those limits or shift their focus away from wire transfers. That, to me, is a total red flag. In most cases, once a buyer successfully completes a large transaction, credit limits should be adjusted to reflect that trust and history.
On top of that, their model does not reflect a true wholesale distributor. For them, selling 5 units is treated the same as selling 1,000 unitsâthere are no meaningful bulk discounts. A genuine wholesale liquidator should reward larger orders with better pricing, otherwise it feels more like retail than wholesale.
Profit margins are not very high, so itâs important to carefully calculate all expensesâshipping costs, return rates and return costs, FBA fees, as well as prep and pick-and-pack fees if youâre selling through Amazon. In most cases, selling on Amazon FBA leaves very little room for profit. I had purchased these items because I used the product elsewhere, but when it came to Amazon FBA, there was essentially no profit.
I also wish to add that their team reached out to our business, which has been established for more than 10 years. For experienced businesses like ours, buyer protection, bulk pricing, and payment flexibility are critical for trust and long-term partnership.
I might be wrong, but I feel itâs important to share this so others can be cautious. As I learn more, I will revise my review again. I hope 888lots takes such issues seriously if they genuinely wish to establish themselves as a trusted wholesale liquidator.
That being said, I also want to share my positive experience. The ordering process was smooth, communication was clear, and the items arrived quickly. Everything was well-packaged and in excellent condition, exactly as described. I also appreciate the transparency and professionalism throughout the transaction. Looking forward to doing more business with them in the futureâprovided these concerns...

I made 3 orders â and every single one turned into a disaster. ⢠In my very first order, instead of a phone I received two (!) pieces of plastic in a giant box. On the plastic bag with this âsurpriseâ there was proudly stuck a smartphone label. A prank? Maybe. Funny? Not really. ⢠Every time I requested delivery to the backyard (not left on the porch). Of course, that was completely ignored. Packages ended up with random neighbors, some were even opened, and I had to check my cameras and then chase down my âalready unboxed gifts.â ⢠Customer support? Letâs call it imaginary, because in real life it simply doesnât exist. Registering took forever, but meanwhile my inbox was flooded with spam like clockwork.
Pricing. âWholesaleâ? Nice try. In reality, their âwholesaleâ is higher than regular retail on eBay or Amazon. Product descriptions are vague and misleading. In their WhatsApp group prices look attractive, but once you click the link â surprise! â the actual price is much higher. Classic bait-and-switch.
The peak of the iceberg. They shipped me items described as âbrand new.â In reality? Completely dead. Of course, they didnât work. The result: a claim, ruined seller reputation, and wasted nerves.
And then came the real âgentleman move.â They tried to force me to pay return shipping for this defective junk! Yes, seriously: I got a claim because of their defective product, and on top of that I was supposed to ship back a huge and heavy box at my own expense. Bravo! True business aristocrats. Luckily, I decided to test the rest of the items (I bought 9 units of the same product) â none of them even powered on. Imagine if I had shipped them all to customers!
After a long and exhausting back-and-forth, they finally refunded me. They let me keep the broken garbage (which, of course, I donât need), and then â surprise again â they blocked my account. And you know what? Thatâs actually perfect. Because dealing with a company like this is worse than just losing money.
I even offered to bring this defective junk in person to their warehouse in Linden, NJ (I live in Jersey City, just next door). But no â they insisted I should pay shipping for the giant useless package. Draw your own conclusions.
Businesses like this, with clueless support and shady policies, should be avoided at all costs.
No respect, Raul M.
And I highly doubt theyâll learn any lessons from this.
This is a real review from a real customer â not fake.

Read moreHorrible company to work with! In November I found a fixed price lot I wanted to buy, but I needed to update my shipping address (I had purchased items once before from them a couple years ago). There was no option to update my address online, which I found really odd in 2024 - I've not come across any other websites in years without this function. In any case, by the time I was able to get it updated the next day (took a few tries b/c they kept making a mistake on it), the lot I was going to buy was gone. Kept checking their website over the next few weeks for something to buy, but honestly their prices are ridiculously high for a "wholesale" outfit. (The whole "negotiating" thing is just weird. It's like you have to know the secret handshake or something.) Mid-December I finally came across some items at a decent price that I wanted to buy, and placed a minimum $100 order, with plans to order more in the future hopefully. They were all "Fulfilled by Amazon" items, which turned out to be a major pain. I got four different shipments from different warehouses, and one of the bigger boxes got misdelivered (Amazon's fault), and I only got it b/c the guy who it was delivered to was honest enough to drive across town and bring it to me. Out of this one order and four shipments, two items were damaged and one was missing. I filed a claim with 888lots, was supposedly issued a "coupon", was then asked if I wanted to credit it to my account and I said I wanted it refunded to my payment method (after I'd already asked them before to do just that) . They told me it would take "a few days". Weeks went by, no refund. I contacted them again, was told "we told you it would take a few days". Finally, I told them if I didn't get my refund soon I'd have to file a chargeback with my credit card company for the $15, and when they never replied after about another week, I did. Throughout this whole process, they were rude and unresponsive. Rich was my "salesperson", but he was so incredibly rude and dismissive to me (apparently others think he's great, so I don't know what I did to him...), and the email replies I received from their "contact" email were all unprofessional AND completely anonymous - no name was ever attached to any of them. I buy from a lot of different places, and this company was just the strangest and most unprofessional, and I would NEVER recommend them. So glad I didn't give them more...
