White Castle — Restaurant in Linden

Sorry but not impressed, I have heard of White Castle for years but since there are none in South Jersey, or at least none that I am aware of I have never been to one until yesterday when I was on a return trip from the Newark Airport. I had seen this one before on similar excursions and thought that even though I am not a big fan of fast food I do at least know what is good and what is not. In all fairness it might have been better had I been to one before and known what to order but since I hadn't ever had that opportunity it was a total gamble on what to order. I was there a little before 1:00 and there was only one customer at the counter so I thought I had to figure out what I felt like eating quickly since I expected to be placing my order soon but as it was I had plenty of time as it took the staff a couple minutes to get the guys order taken care of. While they were still working with him a pleasant young lady came from somewhere and took my order. I didn't want much so figured I would just get a burger and fries but did not know that their burgers that they call sliders are actually tiny little things that are only about 3 bites. I also did not think to ask them to hold the ketchup since most fast food places do not put that much on so it is not that big a deal if I do get the ketchup but this being such a small burger had enough ketchup for a 1/3 pounder. Had I known this I could have asked them to hold the ketchup since they do have BBQ sauce packs I could have used. Instead of getting plain fries I saw they had cheese fries but since I am used to cheese fries with mozzarella I didn't think to ask but found out they use the nasty cheese whiz, something I try to avoid along with a lot of other processed foods. I am not saying I won't go back or visit another location, I am just warning others to be sure of what they are expecting from the slow service to the problems I had with the food that had I had a little more knowledge might...

Never go to this White Castle location ... I DO NOT RECOMMEND them at all. Service was terrible and food was pretty disgusting. If I can give negative 5 stars I would, not just a whole ZERO.

We ordered #9 which was the 10 OG sliders with a sack of fries and 20 pc Chicken Rings

Fries were so soggy and cold we couldn't even eat them. (This is us eating it straight from the bag as we drove off) Didn't even give it time for condensation, so that was not the case.

I asked to make the sliders with Cheese and i repeatedly said with Cheese please and we got them with no cheese, at least those were hot (yay 1 star for that)

The Chicken rings were also soggy and warm, we were grossed out and ended up not eating most of them, we picked out what was okay.

I asked for no other sauce besides the honey mustard as we use them for each burger and the rings. They gave me 7 packets and stated thats all she was allowed to give when I asked for more so very nicely. Like are you serious ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! We spent almost $40 bucks on this soggy food and they couldn't give me just a few more sauce packets? I ask for these all the time when I am at any White Castle location, so this really got under my skin.

Ultimately disappointed in their service and all the above. They are worse than the Jersey City location and that is saying a whole lot.

I will never buy from this location ever again! I def recommend you go somewhere else if you're craving...

Being a out out of town visitor we always look forward to visiting White Castle however this particular site in linden was our first time visit 😞😞😞 it wasn't someplace I care to ever revisit . You would think in such a heavily populated area on the highway would be well managed and their would have been more workers on shift ( and I understand ppl call out and leave you short handed ) but this was a nightmare !! 3 ppl working on this particular night , one person worked like she was in training 😞 manger trying to keep things moving along with one other worker who looked like he was just fed up and trying to keep it moving I felt so sorry for him 😞 never the less 30 mins later we were still waiting on 3 orders to be put up bc it was 3 of us, which one was just a milkshake and a fish nibbler 🙄 Really ??? Manager was trying to help with orders while taking orders from drive thru, while excepting money , exchanging money and credit cards, and fixing food all with the same gloves 😣🤦🏻‍♀️😭 the only reason we didn't cancel our order is bc the girl in training finally got around to our ticket 40 mins later 🤦🏻‍♀️ Never...
