Swensson Park — Attraction in Lindsborg

Swensson Park is a great stop for playtime and a picnic! Another part of the park featured a stage, which I'm sure they use for outdoor productions, with a huge grassy area for blanket or lawn chair seating. The playground has 2 sections; one for the bigger kids and a "Tot Lot" for ages 2-5. My toddler insisted on following brother (with me tagging along) throughout the winding tunnels, ladders and down all the slides. Very interesting part. Has a playground an amphitheater, there appears to be running water and a restroom facility. There are a number of park benches and picnic tables all around. There is a walking path that encompens at least one side of the park and some of it in the middle. To go completely all the way around the park you must walk through the alley on the east side. This park shows what a community can do!!! The residents built the viking park for their children, and it is an absolute gem! I've been fortunate to witness a play in progress in the bandshell. The entire town had brought their camp chairs out for the show. What a tight-knit community! Lindsborg is truly a special town...
